Cyberpunk 2077 has a bunch of things that are trying to turn you into giblets, and CD Projekt Red added even more in Phantom Liberty. Over the past seven months, developer CD Projekt Red has been tracking exactly which enemies have been dishing out the most hurt to players through the course of the expansion, posting the top three killers to the Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account.

As with many RPGs, 's story is enhanced by the characters players can interact with, and the relationships that can be built, with players' choices even leading to in-game romances. In the case of, there were four main romanceable options, with a male V able to seduce Panam Palmer, a Nomad from the Aldecado family, and Johnny Silverhand's former bandmate, Kerry Eurodyne, and a female V able to date the hacker Judy Alvarez, and former NCPD detective River Ward.

Night City is a truly dangerous place, and recently released statistics have revealed some of the most dangerous encounters in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. The base Cyberpunk 2077 took players to Night City, a gritty futuristic dystopia where crime and corruption rule on every corner. His post emerged a few days after another developer revealed that there are several closely guarded secrets within Cyberpunk 2077's universe that no player has yet stumbled upon.

A Easter egg is a perfect nod to one of Keanu Reeves' best characters. Reeves portrayed one of the major characters in the game, Johnny Silverhand, a Rockerboy who died in 2023 during an assault on Arasaka Tower, but lives on in a prototype Relic in V's head, appearing to comment on actions throughout the game, and even assuming control of V's body at certain points.

This continued through its expansion,, where players had to make a major decision about whether to side with the Federal Intelligence Agency (F.I.A.)'s sleeper agent, Solomon Reed, or his former netrunner protégé, Song So Mi (aka. Songbird) who seeks to be freed from the NUSA's clutches after being used to tap into the Blackwall for President Myers' personal needs.

The latest update for may not fundamentally alter any aspects of the game but it is frustrating for certain players who prefer experiencing the narrative with the help of some third-party add-ons. The game features a lot of lore and detailed backstories of various NPCs and events, and many of these extra narratives are uncovered only through seeking out these hidden surprises.

One particularly well-hidden reference, made in, to a notable character from franchise will undeniably be very bittersweet for long-time fans.

As one of the most unique new Side Jobs included in 's, "" presents a difficult choice with unclear outcomes — how to help BARGHEST recruit Paco Torres avoid certain death at the hands of Dogtown and BARGHEST leader, Kurt Hansen. The Side Jobs becomes available after completing the opening missions of — specifically, after completing "" — and can be started by going to the Side Jobs marker near the Golden Pacific fast travel point, where Paco will speak to V, automatically starting the Side Job.

The Iconic Cut-O-Matic XMOD2 Chainsword is one of the best weapons introduced in, and players can find it for free while exploring Dogtown. This unique variant of the Cut-O-Matic Chainsword is particularly brutal in close-range melee combat, and has extra mod slots that allow V to give it a more personal touch.

Even after several years of updates and an excellent expansion, Cyberpunk 2077 still isn't bug-free. I said as much in my Phantom Liberty review. The difference now versus launch back in 2020 is that the bugs are now within acceptable limits.

Update 2.0 is the final major content patch for CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077, but the developer continues working on smaller ones to fix various issues. Patch 2.02 is en route and though only highlights are available, it will provide fixes, like V no longer flatlining when entering the Delamain AV in Path of Glory.

Like many of CD Projekt RED's games, 's DLC contains a great number of excellently concealed Easter eggs, hidden details, and subtle pop-culture references. Although some of 's secrets are easily discovered, others are incredibly hard to uncover — this, however, is part of the fun. While simple awareness of a reference is rewarding, having to spend a great deal of time and effort in locating an Easter egg amplifies the reward.

The one and only DLC is here for , and it brings with it a lot of new content to the game with an additional zone, narratives, NPCs, and delightful ways to kill enemies with flashy new weapons. The spy-thriller narrative of means that V will need a tough new arsenal to keep up with the backstabbing going on around them. Among the included weapons are many unique Iconics for V to either find or purchase in the Dogtown district.

It took some time, but CD Projekt Red's troubled RPG finally has as much substance as it has style, in no small thanks to the recent Phantom Liberty DLC and patch 2.0.

Adding to the expansive arsenal available in the base game of , adds a number of new Iconic weapons to the game. While many can be found by simply playing through the DLC's story missions, the locations of others can be especially hard to pinpoint. Some weapons, for example, may only be made available through certain quests or decisions, while others might be hidden in subtle ways or placed in obscure locations. And, as Iconic weapons tend to have effects that can't be replicated by any other piece of gear, missing them may deprive a playthrough of unique gameplay.

The side quest "" forces players to decide the fate of a former SovOil agent named Katya. The quest begins with Ana and Steven, two members of a Brazilian intelligence agency, hiring V to find their missing friend and former collaborator, one Mark Bana. Bana wore a biomonitor at the time of his disappearance, which is still giving off signals to suggest he might be alive. However, the agents warn that it might not actually be Bana behind the signals. V tracks Bana through Organitopia, a natural history museum taken over by technological scavengers, and at the end of it all, finds Katya.

With Update 2.0 and Phantom Liberty, CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 is already a great-looking game. It brings Mike Pondsmith’s tabletop RPG to life in such a way that Night City feels like a real, potential future metropolis. So, what if the textures of Night City could look even better? Well, one modder did just that earlier this year, and has just updated the game to somehow look even better.

Cyberpunk 2077 made a lot of popular changes with its version 2.0 update, but one of them appears to have had an unintended side effect. Due to changes in how clothing and armour work, a reward for completing a questline on a much harder, non-lethal path has been nerfed, making it purely aesthetic as opposed to giving you its intended in-game advantage.

's Dogtown District is home to some colorful characters, and the major people that V interacts with for the story have a depth to their personalities that would be fun to be able to explore even more.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is being heralded as the game that we deserved back in 2020, finally completing CD Projekt Red's vision of Night City. But that doesn't mean it's without its issues.

In Cyberpunk 2077, there are few problems that can’t be solved with either a bullet, a blade, or a colorfully worded variation of “F you.” In Phantom Liberty, the first and only expansion for the game, developer CD Projekt Red throws a curveball at the player in the form of an optional final mission that channels inspiration from one of the greatest survival-horror games of the eighth console generation.

Taking place around the time of the later parts of 's main story, has V delving into a sectioned-off area of Night City known as Dogtown, pulled into a mission to save the president of the NUSA from a crash by the enigmatic Songbird in exchange for a promised cure to V's terminal condition.

In the Dogtown district of 's new DLC, there are many gigs that V can take on for extra rewards and to get some expanded backstory and questing in. However, they are often still filled with the same tough types of decisions that are present throughout the game. Among these is the gig «Treating Symptoms» from Mr. Hands which offers some interesting choices as V infiltrates the Voodoo Boys hideout. All the side gigs in the game are optional and do not affect the main storyline of or, but are generally worth doing for the extra content and loot they provide.

While CD Projekt Red is sadly moving on from Cyberpunk 2077 to focus on the sequel, meaning we won't be getting any more expansions or significant updates, there's still a wee bit of polishing to do. Aside from the main storyline of 's spy thriller DLC, the expansion also has several new gigs that V can choose to take on along the way. Gigs are entirely optional but often can provide some good rewards and experience, in addition to providing some colorful backstory and lore for the game. They can often be triggered by entering an area or through story advancement, and are frequently started with a phone call, but they do not need to be completed immediately, so V can circle back when ready.

Taking place in Dogtown, a cordoned-off section of Night City controlled by the warlord Kurt Hansen, brings with it a new, espionage-focused main storyline that fits into the story of 's base game, as well as a number of new side activities and NPCs to populate the newly accessibly area.

's DLC,, has introduced a number of new side quests to the futuristic world of Night City. Although these new side quests and jobs are good, some offer the player significantly better rewards than others. In spite of not being strictly necessary for the completion of the DLC, many of 's side quests are among the most entertaining and immersive missions to be added to as part of its electrifying and emotional DLC.

After the events of 's DLC, players are forced to choose the new boss of Dogtown: the wily Jago, or the brutal Bennett. These two have been squabbling over territory for the entirety of the DLC, and while Kurt Hansen and his Barghest militia once kept them in check, that guiding force has disappeared as of 's ending. V is drawn into the power vacuum created by Hansen's death during the side quest "." They have the authority to decide which of the remaining two factions will take over the district.

You can’t join the Trauma Team in Cyberpunk 2077 but you can do the next best thing — you can get one of their cool outfits. This high-powered group of Medical Tier 1 Operators are infamous in Night City, rescuing the rich and insured from the worst situations imaginable. And if you want to earn one of their outfits, you’ll need to complete your own challenging gauntlet in the virtual world. The only way to get a Trauma Team outfit is by earning a high score in a video game. Yes, really.

Dogtown is packed with secrets in Cyberpunk 2077. The Phantom Liberty DLC adds more than just new story missions — the district of Dogtown is packed with hidden secrets that most of us will miss the first time through. If you’re looking for the best weapons in the game and want to grab them early, you’ll need to check these locations. All the X-Mod2 guns are Iconic with two mod slots, making them more customizable while also being extremely strong. You can even acquire unique weapons like a chainsword!

The level cap has been increased in the Phantom Liberty expansion — all the way up to Level 60. One of the quests seen in 's DLC is which offers different rewards for choices made as V attempts to infiltrate a nightclub covertly. Offered during a gig you receive as you explore the new area of Dogtown, this mission tests your stealth skills as you negotiate with some heavy hitters in Night City. Those looking to earn some sweet eddies will want to tackle this task carefully.
