It’s been a rough few days for Sony. After a plan to implement mandatory PlayStation Network accounts forHelldivers 2 players on PC went haywire, one would imagine that the company is having a lot of talks behind closed doors right now. If there’s one thing I hope Sony takes away from everything, it’s that PlayStation’s online services need a 2.0 revamp.

Sony has announced that, starting next week, Helldivers 2 players on Steam will start to be required to connect their Steam account to a PlayStation Network account in order to play the hit bug and bot shooter. In response, PC players have taken to a now traditional campaign of review bombing to crater the game’s reputation on Steam and share their overwhelming dissatisfaction at this move.

Helldivers 2 players who’ve been playing the game on Windows PC via Steam since launch will now need a PlayStation Network account to access the game. Helldivers 2 publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment posted a notice to the game’s Steam page on Thursday informing Steam players of the change.

In the first half of its first season, X-Men ’97 has played it a little safe. In a new development, NASA has revealed that an asteroid is set to pass Earth by a close margin today, November 15. NASA has issued details about an asteroid that is expected to fly past Earth at a close distance. The asteroid, given the designation of Asteroid 2021 JA5, is on its way towards Earth and will make its closest approach to Earth on September 6. These asteroid strikes, much like volcanoes, are natural processes that have played a role in shaping the Earth's surface. One such big asteroid crate was the Chicxulub asteroid crater, which is estimated to be 180 km in diameter. This asteroid strike killed off all the dinosaurs.
