Blizzard has made one thing clear during their recent Developer Update Livestream — they're pulling out all the stops for Diablo 4, Season 4: Loot Reborn. Alongside a crisp, shiny new Itemization Update, players will be receiving a bunch of fresh, new toys to pay with in the form of brand new Unique Items.

Valheim developer Iron Gate Studio have been teasing the new Ashlands biome for a long time, since early 2023 at least, and lo and behold, it’s finally arrived! The Ashlands are a rather interesting mashup of spooky land of the dead and volcanic themes, with plenty of lava and twisted monstrosities to deal with. Diablo 4 is celebrating Earth Day by donating up to 666 buckets of maggots to the Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital! Players can help contribute to this cause by Liking the post from the official Diablo account. Every 25 Likes will provide 45,000 more maggots to help feed birds who are undergoing treatment and rehabilitation. The most recent Cataclysm Beta build has added more details about how the Upscale Resolution Texture system will likely work for Cataclysm Classic. Diablo's 31st Season, Season of the Forbidden Archives is now available for play! While there isn't much for Patch Notes, this Season is one that is beloved by players. During the Season of the Forbidden Archives, Kanai's Cube will be entirely unrestricted! Diablo 3 Season 31 Patch Notes When selecting Legendary Powers in Kanai's Cube, you will be able to use any combination of Legendary Powers you wish! This means that you will be able to select 3 Weapon Powers, or 2 Jewelry Powers and 1 Armor Power, etc — instead of the standard 1 Weapon, 1 Armor, and 1 Jewelry Power. This restriction being removed allows for many wacky and wild combinations and the reemergence of some incredibly off meta builds.

In the Public Test Realm for Patch 1.4.0 of Diablo 4, countless items, skills, and stats were heavily altered to prepare the game for its fourth Season, as well as to pave the way for the upcoming Vessel of Hatred expansion. In addition to many of these changes, Implicit Affixes on Weapons have been adjusted as well. These are the fixed Affixes that are tied to the Weapon Type that cannot be altered, such as Vulnerable Damage on Crossbows and Critical Strike Damage on Swords. Many of these Affixes have been reduced significantly, and while it hurts to lose damage output from a change like this, it is a necessary change. Reducing these values along with other changes in Itemization will go a long way toward reducing the bloated damage values that affect the game negatively. By allowing players to deal millions upon millions of damage in a single hit, the sense of scale and player power is lost. On top of that, balancing gameplay becomes much more challenging — thus, it's only natural that Implicit Affixes receive some tweaks at the same time as the rest of the Itemization rework.

In the upcoming Season 4 of Diablo 4 players will be able to filter by Item Power. Players may use the search bar and enter a number to filter out for that specific Item Power. In addition, when you search for an item with any filter or search query, the number of matching results will appear on the individual Stash Tabs!

As Diablo 4’s first PTR week comes to an end, players almost unanimously agree — next Season’s itemization overhaul is a big win! However, the upcoming changes have raised an interesting question: are Rare items going to be useless? Diablo 4 Season 4 Elixir Revamp Recruiting Diablo 4 Rogue Writers In the Season 4 PTR, Rare items only dropped with 2 random Affixes, while Legendary items always dropped with 3 Affixes. If this continues to be the case during Season 4, then Legendary items will always have greater potential over Rares.

In Season 4 of Diablo 4, players will gain access to the Pit of Artificers, a new Endgame mechanic which pits players against the clock while fighting hordes of monsters.
