The wait may have been longer than some expected, but the free PlayStation Plus games for May 2024 are finally available for subscribers to claim. As always, the monthly free PlayStation Plus games are available to all subscribers, regardless of tier.

PlayStation Plus Extra games are removed on a monthly basis, but 34 is still a lot of games to see go removed all at one time. All 34 games are expected to be removed from the PlayStation Plus Extra tier on Tuesday, May 21.

While subscribers to the service can look forward to mega-hits like the ever-popular , the latest chapter in the shooter's sprawling saga, it's the small independent games that often make the service stand out. One of the benefits of receiving a random assortment of new titles to play every month is that users can find gems that they otherwise may have missed.
