Resident Evil 3, Midnight Suns, and More Coming to PlayStation Plus

Two new games are being added to the PlayStation Plus lineup for April. Extra and Premium subscribers can snag the Metroidvania Tales of Kenzera: Zau on April 23, while the indie fishing management game Dave the Diver will hit the service on April 16.

Tales of Kenzera: Zau is coming to Sony's PlayStation Plus subscription on day one of its release.

MINTROCKET will release DAVE THE DIVER for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on April 16, the developer announced. It will also be available as part of the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog.

Side-scrolling platformer Tales of Kenzera: ZAU will be available as part of the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on day one when it launches on April 23, publisher Electronic Arts and developer Surgent Studios announced.

It’s April Fools’ Day, but this post is no joke: There is a lot of new TV to watch this week. In a lot of ways it’s a showdown of tense situations — “tense,” here, being used to cover things like Tom Ripley (Andrew Scott, in the new adaptation) trying to con his way into high society, American Horror Story: Delicate’s Anna (Emma Roberts) attempting to figure what’s a real haunting and what’s in her head, Mark (Steven Yeun) trying to live up to the title of Invincible while he protects his family, or Larry David (Larry David) just trying to make it through the end of Curb Your Enthusiasm alive.

Sony has revealed the three games that will be free for all PlayStation Plus subscribers in the month of May, and a couple of notable names are on the list. For starters, there’s Immortals of Aveum (for PS5 users only), Ascendant Studios’ single player magic FPS. CEO Bret Robins said in November last year that the game would eventually be coming to subscription services, and here it is. Now to see if it also launches for Game Pass.

Renowned CAPCOM leaker Dusk Golem has revealed that the publisher's next major projects, Resident Evil 9 and Monster Hunter Wilds, will both follow in the footsteps of Dragon's Dogma 2 with an open world design. Here's what Dusk Golem wrote on Twitter:

The developers of Sea of Thieves have shared some of what players can expect in the remainder of 2024. Developer Rare, the team behind the hit pirate video game Sea of Thieves, has shared its 2024 roadmap for the game, announcing several new weapons, items, and even a brand-new ship will be added to the game.

A glut of additional PS5 and PS4 games are coming to PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium this week, and as is usually the case, there's a lot of variety on show. March's update, which consists of 13 titles across the two tiers, has everything from sports sim NBA 2K24 to ultra-niche Super Neptunia RPG.
