Apex Legends’ new character is ready to send herself — and everyone around her — into an apocalyptic spiral. Respawn Entertainment introduced its newest fighter to join the roster of playable characters to its popular online shooter on Friday. Her name is Alter, and the Harley Quinn-esque legend will bring a set of void-based powers to the the popular online shooter, as shown in her trailer.

Warner Bros. Games has announced the Joker as the latest character to join the playable roster in the upcoming 2D platform fighting game MultiVersus. It was also revealed that the Joker will be voiced by Mark Hamill, who portrayed the Clown Prince of Crime in the animated Batman television series and the popular Batman: Arkham video game franchise.

Warner Bros. is promoting the release of its fighting game MultiVersus with Happy Meal toys at McDonald's. Through April 4, customers can get their hands on one of six toys featuring familiar characters that will be playable when the game comes out. Lego and DC's relationship goes back years. From real-life Lego sets to a series of games and even a star-studded Lego Batman movie, it's hard to imagine the two entities still have any ideas they can collaborate on to wow us all these years later. Enter what might be Lego and DC's best team-up yet. A Lego Batman: The Animated Series set that turns Gotham's skyline into an elaborate Lego set launching this April.

While Lego has plenty of products featuring the various iterations of Batman, its latest set based onBatman: The Animated Series might be their best yet. The massive 4,210-piece set will set you back $299.99 when it becomes widely available on April 4. However, members of the free-to-join Lego Insiders program will be able to purchase the set early, starting April 1.

MultiVersus released back in 2022 as a public beta test, and it immediately proved popular. It was available to play for free for almost a year, but developer Player First Games took the beta down, promising the game would return in a more complete state in 2024. Now, a series of evidence has begun popping up, suggesting some news might be just around the corner.

It’s taken years for the film to see the light of day, outside of the occasional festival screening. I saw it at the 2023 Fantastic Fest, where Vera Drew was present to talk about the experience, but was careful not to address the question of whether her film might ever get a real theatrical run. But now, according to the poster, it’s “coming soon. Legally. Seriously.”

Those early thoughts still stand, as Kill the Justice League doesn’t offer an enticing first few hours. Eventually, some of those pieces improve. Others, not so much.

Much hay is made of the concepting of Batman villains, especially from 60s TV series ft. Adam West. It's done within canon, even! The Condiment King was created for the 90s animated series as a play on those kinds of whimisical, pun-focused villains. He shoots sauce and says things like "You just don't cut the mustard, Batman!". Maybe when you have to put out at least one issue a month, you throw a lot of villain spaghetti at the wall and see what sticks, and once something does you then go about making "guy who has a thing for the calendar" more of a rounded character - a sinister dude with a weird backstory.
