Batman Will Reportedly Return In Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League isn't one of the most popular titles out there at the moment, and the introduction of The Joker in Season 1 hasn't done much to fix that. There are a bunch of reasons for Suicide Squad's frosty reception, one of them being the treatment of iconic hero Batman, who most fans will know is bumped off by Harley Quinn.
However, it seems as though developer Rocksteady doesn't plan on leaving Batman behind forever, as reputable insider Miller Ross has claimed that voice actor Kevin Conroy actually recorded dialogue before his passing for a substantial post-launch campaign involving the Caped Crusader. According to Ross, Batman will return to Metropolis in the game's fourth season, after being rescued from a "Medieval-themed Elseworld."
Batman will apparently then go on to join up with the Green Lantern and The Flash to reform the Justice League once again, so those of you who were particularly upset about Batman's rather unceremonious departure from the Arkham series can take solace in the fact that a new version is more than likely on the way.
According to Ross, Batman will return to the fray in Season 4 of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which is set to begin in January 2025. This reformed Justice League will then team up with ARGUS, as both groups attempt to defeat Braniac once and for all in the game's final climactic season. There were apparently plans to continue the story past that point, but the disappointing launch of Season 1 looks to have forced Rocksteady to scrap them.
Whether Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be able to scrape together enough players to warrant five seasons is another matter entirely. It's looking pretty bleak for the title at the moment, and while the launch of Season 1 saw a few thousand players return to see what all the hype was about, the game's numbers quickly dropped again and is now sitting at a pretty dismal 24-hour player peak of just 824 people.
It's difficult to imagine the situation being any better on other platforms, especially since the game isn't actually free to play, so it's entirely possible that Warner Bros. could pull the plug on the entire thing without the story seeing its conclusion. It definitely wouldn't be te first game to suffer such a fate, and in today's industry, it certainly wouldn't be the last.
