There’s a nasty sting in the tail of Sony’s PS Plus monthly games announcement, as they have confirmed that the prices for all 12-month PS Plus subscription plans (Essential, Extra and Premium) will be increasing from 6th September 2023.

The PS Plus Essential Games for September 2023 have been announced with a fresh trio of bundled in games that are headlined by the 2022 reboot of Saints Row.

The PlayStation Plus Double Discounts promotion comes to PlayStation Store on August 30, bringing with it not only price reductions of up to 40% across a number of different titles, but up to 80% off those games if you’re a PlayStation Plus member for a limited time*.

Sony has revealed the lineup for PlayStation Plus’ monthly free games for the month of September, and as has become tradition at this point, it was indeed accurately leaked ahead of time- or at least part of it was.

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced the September 2023 Monthly Games lineup for PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers. All titles will be available from September 5 to October 2.

PlayStation Plus will be receiving significant price hikes in about a week’s time. Sony has announced that started September 6, prices will be increased for 12-month subscriptions for all three PlayStation Plus tiers.

It’s a new month, with a new lineup of PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for September. The Monthly Games lineup of Saints Row, Black Desert – Traveler Edition and Generation Zero will be available to PlayStation Plus members on Tuesday, September 5 until Monday, October 2. 

The PS Plus Essential Games for September 2023 have been announced with a fresh trio of bundled in games that are headlined by the 2022 reboot of Saints Row.

The PlayStation Plus Double Discounts promotion comes to PlayStation Store on August 30, bringing with it not only price reductions of up to 35% across a number of different titles, but up to 70% off those games if you’re a PlayStation Plus member for a limited time*.

Sony has yet to announce the free titles coming to PlayStation Plus Essential (and Extra/Premium) subscribers in September 2023. However, leaker billbil-kun revealed one allegedly inbound – Volition’s Saints Row. The other two titles aren’t “100 percent” confirmed, but there may be more news in the coming days.

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen leads the pack of new titles coming to the PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe/ Premium catalogue, this month. Starting August 15, all high-tier PS Plus members can delve into Savathûn's Throne World, as you uncover the mystery of how she and her Lucent Hive stole the Light — across a set of maps ranging between gothic cathedrals, palaces, swamps, and a mysterious black pyramid on the icy moon of Europa. Often considered one of the best Destiny 2 campaign packs, it will be available on the PS4 and PS5. Another key highlight this month is Sea of Stars, an eye-catching indie RPG, where two Children of the Solstice head out on an adventure to defend the lands against the monstrous creations of an evil alchemist. This one, however, is slated to drop a bit later on August 29.

After announcing that PS5 game streaming via the cloud was in testing and would be available for PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers, a preview is rolling out for some users. Resetera users reported receiving an invite to the same, though getting in appears random.

Cloud gaming is slowly becoming more mainstream. It’s not at a level quite yet where we’re seeing most players adopting this method of gaming. Most might even say that downloads or physical copies are still far superior to cloud gaming. Mainly, it boils down to your internet connection when it comes to the experience you’ll have with cloud gaming. However, it wasn’t too long ago that Sony unveiled their plans to adopt cloud gaming into their PlayStation 5 library. Now we’re finally seeing some users gain access to the beta. 

Sony is currently beta testing cloud streaming for PS5 games, and the lucky few who got an invite have confirmed the service supports 4K streams.

Sony has begun rolling out its PS5 cloud streaming service, which, unlike Xbox, comes with a 4K option.

The new PS5 cloud streaming feature is live as part of a limited preview that some PlayStation Plus Premium members have just been invited to. It is separate from the recently announced PlayStation 5 beta firmware, although receiving this invite also provides access to the new firmware.

Xbox may be doing away with its monthly rotation of free games for subscribers at its lowest tier, but Sony is still going strong with a new trio of PS5 and PS4 games for PlayStation Plus subscribers at any tier, including one of their own first-party releases.

Members can compete to become the next FedExCup Champion in PGA Tour 2K23, slay armies of fantastical beasts and demigods in Death's Door, and dive into the ever-changing universe of Dreams, which is laden with community-created games and tools to unleash your creativity. These games can be added to your PS4 and PS5 games library until September 4, after which you'll need to hold on to your PS Plus subscription for continued access.

Sea of Stars will be available as a PlayStation Plus Game Catalog title for PlayStation Extra and Premium members on launch day, developer Sabotage Studio announced. A demo is now available for both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
