A new update of Floor is Lava – PVP & Nextbots dropped on May 5, 2024, bringing fresh content to the already sizzling (literally) game. This is the first update the game has received since being released on the 27th of April. Let’s take a dip into what’s new.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers can look forward to the addition of two more games coming this year in the form of Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts 2and Lords of the Fallen. It's been a big couple of weeks for Xbox Game Pass users, as last year's hit action adventure masterpiece Star Wars Jedi: Survivor just recently landed on the Ultimate tier of the service. Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons populate Game Pass' May calendar, all leading up to the long-awaited release of Ninja Theory's Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 on the 21st.

In a press release published on the Polish financial website Bankier.pl, CI Games confirmed to have reached an agreement with Microsoft to bring Lords of the Fallen and Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 to Game Pass.

Helldivers 2 fans are buzzing about a new revelation: a keen-eyed player has spotted a subtle issue with the icon for one of the game's popular Stratagems, causing a stir within the community. Helldivers 2, developed by Arrowhead Game Studios, is a cooperative third-person shooter set in a dystopian future where players battle against alien forces on various planets. The game features a wide array of Stratagems, powerful abilities that players can deploy to aid them in combat, including the Orbital Precision Strike, which has gotten a lot of attention for its effectiveness in eliminating foes.

Arguably Cyberpunk 2077's most famous date scene - the underwater scuba dive with tech wizard Judy Alvarez - was made with smoke and mirrors, according to one lead developer. 

Gray Zone Warfare, a new tactical first person shooter MMO that popped up on Steam at the end of April, is already drawing in big player numbers despite being just a few days old. Although Gray Zone Warfare is still in Early Access, it has already managed to sell more than half a million copies in its first four days since release.

Many players are still waiting for the Redfall DLC they spent $100 on. Redfall was positioned to be the next big release from popular developer Arkane Studios. Arkane became well known for games such as Dishonored as well as their more recent release Deathloop, which have both received praise for their unique combat and traversal mechanics.

Since its launch into early access, Manor Lords has taken the simulation game scene by storm, with players absolutely relishing this new city-building experience.

Between Palworld, Helldivers 2, and now Manor Lords, it’s been a year of games coming out of left field and achieving runaway success.

If you’re an avid gamer, you probably already know what QTE or Quick time event is. Well, Inoutbox Games has just announced its latest QTE-focused title called QTEM or Quick-Time Event Master for mobile. It’s an action RPG with turn-based fights, boss battles and of course, nifty quick-time events.

Stampede: Racing Royale will be added to Xbox Game Preview and Steam Early Access in the summer, Secret Mode and Sumo Leamington have confirmed. Those on the Xbox Insider Program can already get access to the game already. The 60 player racing battle royale game will also be receiving playtests on Steam soon.

Bandai Namco reveals a new free update roadmap full of content like stages and game modes, while also confirming that Lidia Sobieska will be joining the Tekken 8 roster as the second season 1 DLC character. It's been an interesting road for Tekken 8 since it launched in January to acclaim reviews and bypassed numerous sales milestones. In fact, Tekken 8 quickly overtook its predecessor in sales, claiming 2 million copies sold in less than 3 weeks.

In a new trailer for Tekken 8's first season, Bandai Namco revealed that Lidia Sobieska will be the second DLC character after Eddy Gordo added to the roster, joining the game sometime this Summer.

If it weren’t enough to see Bandai Namco announce free updates and new story content for Tekken 8 this year, it also outlined its roadmap for Season 1 DLC fighters. Treyarch, one of the developers behind the Call of Duty games, is drawing some criticism online after a job posting on its careers page possibly hinted at the studio moving towards using AI-generated art in its games. While the job posting does not specifically state that the artist is being sought out for work in the Call of Duty franchise, Treyarch has been exclusively developing games from that franchise for more than 15 years.

The horror veterans at Bloober Team have partnered with a Take-Two Interactive subsidiary on a new game based on an original IP. Bloober Team itself recently confirmed the existence of this mysterious project, in addition to providing a status update on one other yet-to-be-revealed game that it currently has in the works.

Capcom has announced that it will be delisting Dark Void, Dark Void Zero, and Flock! from Steam on May 8th. It has not yet confirmed if this delisting will also occur on the Xbox store but it does seem likely. If it does then Dark Void and Flock! will be impacted on that platform, as Dark Void Zero was not released on Xbox platforms. Dark Void was already delisted from the PlayStation store, but Flock! is still available.

Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno announced some good news for fans anticipating the Silent Hill 2 remake, stating a release date will be announced soon. There have been a number of rumors surrounding Silent Hill 2, with gamers being given possible release windows of Bloober Team's upcoming classic Konami horror game remake. Many of them have stated that Silent Hill 2 will likely be released sometime this year, which may appear to be the case if Babieno is to be believed.

ComingSoon is excited to give out 50 consumable packs for the MMORPG AION Classic Europe. The packs contain seven Days Siel’s Energy, three Transformation candy box/packet, five Tombstones of Revival, and two Instance Entry Selection Scroll bundles. It’s a great time to start playing the game as it recently received a new Revenant class, who are reborn Daeva soldiers that had been previously brainwashed and experimented upon.

When are we finally going to get a release date for the Silent Hill 2 remake? The game is widely expected to launch sometime in 2024, but PR from Konami has been spotty at best. We got a somewhat-questionable trailer back in February (that even developer Bloober Team criticized as not representative of the final game) and as we head deeper into the year, there’s still a lot to be nailed down. The game’s been rated by the ESRB and there are rumors it may pop up at a PlayStation Showcase next month, but Konami themselves have remained silent.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate has added Manor Lords to its thriving content library. This is the fifth day-one release on Microsoft's subscription service in April 2024, as well as the 56th title to reach Xbox Game Pass Ultimate since the turn of the year.

No Rest for the Wicked's creative director has defended the idea of launching a game in early access following criticism of the game's current state.

Earlier this month, as spotted by Twitter user MauroNL, Polish developer People Can Fly decided to cancel the new action/adventure IP codenamed Project Dagger.

People Can Fly, the developers of Bulletstorm and Outriders, have cancelled development of a co-op action RPG codenamed Project Dagger. The Polish company informed investors of the decision to cancel the game, which was initially to be published by Take-Two, earlier this month.

One of the developers behind No Rest for the Wicked recently talked about the usefulness of early access releases, suggesting that even well-regarded titles such as Dark Souls could have benefited from this practice. Early access is becoming increasingly popular in gaming, and No Rest for the Wicked is just one of the many recent projects to use this release model.

In recent years, it’s become common for AAA games to hold back their New Game+ modes, often rolling them out as part of a “big update” weeks or months after launch. Well, apparently, that won’t be the case with the upcoming PS5 exclusive Stellar Blade, which will have New Game+ available from launch, and it sounds pretty meaty. People Can Fly has cancelled a co-op action RPG codenamed Project Dagger after several years of development.

Dark Souls is often regarded as one of FromSoftware's best games, but even diehard fans have to admit that the back half is lacking. Between the lava pools filled with copy-and-pasted dragon butts in Lost Izalith and the pitch-black caverns in The Tomb of the Giants, it's clear that the endgame was rushed.

Decades after it took place, the Chornobyl disaster remains so ingrained in the public imagination that it's easy to forget its terrible real-world consequences. But Chornobyl Liquidators, a new immersive sim set to release in June, aims to delve into some of that history in what developer Live Motion Games calls a "commemoration of the disaster and its victims."

Prior to release, all indications were that Stellar Blade would be an unusually technically polished current-gen launch, with the game’s demo leaving many impressed. But, of course, demos aren’t always indicative of the final game, with devs sometimes taking a thin slice of gameplay and give it more polish than the rest of the game. Single-player life simulation game Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game will launch digitally for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC via Steam this fall, publisher Private Division and developer Weta Workshop announced. It will support English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Turkish, Spanish, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese language options.

It seems that Prison Architect 2 is going method in its approach to launching the 3D sequel to the jailhouse management game, as - like its inmates - it just can’t seem to secure a solid release. Originally due to arrive in March, before being pushed into May, developers Double Eleven have now shunted it all the way back to September.

CD Projekt RED has essentially committed to none of its future single player games featuring microtransactions as the Polish developer states it doesn't «see a place for microtransactions in the case of single player games». The studio's CFO Piotr Nielubowicz said as such in an investor's chat via StockWatch.pl, but the micro-purchases are something the team could explore for online experiences: «We do not rule out that we will use this solution in the future in the case of multiplayer projects.»

Blizzard has unlocked the Diablo 4 PTR forums and released a statement regarding known issues and what to expect regarding the upcoming Season 4 PTR. Vladimir Putin has signed off on a plan to create Russia's own consoles and Steam-like platform. This is one of nine instructions that are supposed to promote the socio-economic development of the region of Kaliningrad, the Russian exclave located between Lithuania and Poland.
