A Palworld player has recently discovered an item with a strange name, likely due to a glitch. Despite being one of 2024’s most successful releases, Palworld is still in early access, and while developer Pocketpair is working hard to polish the game, players are bound to find some weird glitches sometimes.
Palworld reached over 25 million players since its early access release in January. To keep up with the game’s surprising success, Pocketpair is constantly updating Palworld. The latest Palworld update 0.2.0.6, for example, introduced a new raid boss called Bellanoir, new items, and buildings, and fixed several bugs. However, there are still many glitches to be found in Palworld, and one gamer discovered a pretty weird one.
A Palworld player called Psychological-Door69 has recently shared some images of an unusual item called “ITEM_NAME_Paltem_RaijinDaughter” that they discovered while exploring. After googling the item’s name and coming up with nothing, the gamer turned to the community, which revealed that the object should be called Dazzi’s Cloud and could be used to craft Homeward Thoudercloud. Dazzi’s Cloud is an otherwise common item that spawns when players defeat a Dazzi, and the weird name probably appeared due to a bug.
The bizarre name that appeared for Psychological-Door69 was likely the item’s string ID, a placeholder name used during development. It’s possible that the string ID name appeared due to a glitch related to translation. While the latest Palworld update solved several glitches, it seems there is still plenty to fix.
This recent case is not even the weirdest bug that Palworld players have seen recently, though. Last month, a glitch left a Palworld player with a pink world, for example. Due to an unknown glitch, the game’s sky turned pink permanently, and the player only fixed the problem by trying out a specific method that involved entering and leaving a cave.
Fortunately, Pocketpair is working hard to deliver the best version of Palworld to the fan base as soon as possible. The developers have recently confirmed that Palworld will receive a major update in the summer. According to the devs, the summer update will be more content-focused than previous patches, adding more Pals, bosses, weapons, buildings, and a whole new island that would look significantly distinct from what was seen in Palworld so far. In the meantime, Pocketpair continues to issue regular updates fixing the many glitches still present in the survival game.
