Capcom has announced that it will be delisting Dark Void, Dark Void Zero, and Flock! from Steam on May 8th. It has not yet confirmed if this delisting will also occur on the Xbox store but it does seem likely. If it does then Dark Void and Flock! will be impacted on that platform, as Dark Void Zero was not released on Xbox platforms. Dark Void was already delisted from the PlayStation store, but Flock! is still available.
On the relevant Steam pages of each game, Capcom has put up a statement saying, “Capcom will be discontinuing digital sales of [GAME NAME] on Steam Store on May 8th 5:30PM PDT. Customers who have purchased the title prior to its delisting date may still be able to enjoy the game into the future depending on their PC operating system’s ability to continue running the game.”
While we did not review Dark Void on its release, we did have a preview of the game before it released. In it we said, “Overall, my impressions from Dark Void were, despite a rough start, quite positive. The use, but not overuse of the vertical cover mechanic is implemented effectively but gladly not relied upon. Whilst the graphics required some polish, it wasn’t the final build and therefore will likely be improved upon for the full release. The permutations for combat are quite wealthy, all that it relies upon is your own persistence to not follow the same old repetitive patterns.”
