Stampede: Racing Royale will be added to Xbox Game Preview and Steam Early Access in the summer, Secret Mode and Sumo Leamington have confirmed. Those on the Xbox Insider Program can already get access to the game already. The 60 player racing battle royale game will also be receiving playtests on Steam soon.
In our preview for Stampede: Racing Royale, Stefan said, “Even if that core concept is seemingly so simple and obvious, there’s clearly been a good deal of effort going into Stampede: Racing Royale to make sure it’s a good, fun kart racer that lives up to all the refinement and polish that’s needed for the genre. At the same time, Sumo Leamington has taken on strange challenges like needing to design circuits for 60 racers at once – this means tracks are generally going to be much wider than you’d see in Mario Kart, but then there’s still potential for track obstacles to avoid, slightly more challenging shortcuts to take, and all of this wrapped up in a bunch of different map themes.”
The content of the Stampede: Racing Royale Early Access/Game Preview version has not been confirmed yet, with Sumo set to release this information closer to the release date. What we do know is that game contains classic kart racing and races where power ups and obstacles can help take down opposing racers. There is full kart and character customisation too, and there will be plenty of content due to seasons, challenges, and events being added.

is developer Supergiant Games' follow-up to 2020's influential and adored roguelike, and to say that expectations are high would be something of an understatement. It's hard to look at a successful roguelike in the wake of and not find some of its fingerprints somewhere in the game's approach, whether it's careful attention paid to world design or an upgrade system that's adjacent to Boons from the the gods of Olympus. Character design, soundtrack, deep mechanics, customizable runs — the original had it all and then some, and still features as a genre touchstone for innovation.

When No Rest for the Wicked was released in Early Access, there was excitement, bt it wasn't without issue. Initially, the game had a staggeringly unsteady frame rate and other technical issues — which is to be expected from a game in Early Access. But developer Moon Studio has rolled out patch after patch, rectifying these issues and more or less changing the game over a series of weeks. I had the opportunity to play No Rest for the Wicked in its earlier stages, marred by frame drops and freezes, and more recently, as the game itself has evened out. And what I’ve found lies beneath is a game that blends the isometric and action RPG genres together in a tantalizing way that could shape up to be something exciting, even if it isn’t exactly original.
