CD Projekt has released the latest Cyberpunk 2077 update for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
Patch 2.01 is the first update since last month’s release of the game’s big 2.0 patch and its Phantom Liberty expansion.
“It fixes the most common issues players have encountered and improves overall performance on all platforms, especially in Dogtown,” according to CD Projekt.
The update also addresses an issue where PS5 save files could get corrupted after playing Phantom Liberty using the base game save.
We’ve listed the update’s highlights below, while the full patch notes can be found here.

It might seem a little tacky to throw shade at Cyberpunk 2077, given how it’s been in recent months and now that its beloved DLC is out and about. But the truth is that the game still hasn’t fully embraced what CD Projekt Red said it would, and there are still many issues holding the game back. We’ll give the team credit. They have gone above and beyond to try and fix things, even spending $125 million after the game’s launch to try and fix things. The question was also, would everything be fixed? Well, the 2.0 update revealed that the answer is “no.”

With the vast majority of CD Projekt RED’s work on Cyberpunk 2077 having wrapped up after Update 2.0 and Phantom Liberty, the developer has now entered a phase where it’s started looking ahead to the next game in the franchise, codenamed Project Orion. It is, however, currently in the very early stages of development, which means there will be plenty of key aspects of the game that even the development team will not have concretely nailed down just yet.
With Cyberpunk 2077 receiving its last major update and its only paid expansion in Phantom Liberty (which sold three million in its first week), CD Projekt RED is looking to the future, specifically Project Orion. Announced in October 2022, the sequel promised to prove the “full power and potential of the Cyberpunk universe.”
