Adding to the expansive arsenal available in the base game of , adds a number of new Iconic weapons to the game. While many can be found by simply playing through the DLC's story missions, the locations of others can be especially hard to pinpoint. Some weapons, for example, may only be made available through certain quests or decisions, while others might be hidden in subtle ways or placed in obscure locations. And, as Iconic weapons tend to have effects that can't be replicated by any other piece of gear, missing them may deprive a playthrough of unique gameplay.
While many of 's Iconic weapons, such as Her Majesty or the Rasetsu, are given to V as part of the story or at the end of certain quests or gigs, others have to be found in the world and can potentially be missed or overlooked. As many of these weapons can only be accessed in certain quest-specific areas, missing them the first time might mean they can't be picked up later, or at least that there might not be any reason to revisit the areas where they can be found. Although some missed Iconic weapons may later turn up in 's black market, this method of obtaining them is both unreliable and costly.

The weapon is only available in Alex's safehouse during the main story quest «Birds With Broken Wings,» somewhat innocuously placed within a weapon case in the room's armory section. As this is an important story mission, and one where players are freely given another powerful Iconic weapon in Her Majesty, the weapon case containing the NDI Osprey is fairly easy to overlook.
The only Iconic axe in, the Agaou makes for a uniquely powerful throwing weapon, emitting an electrical explosion when it critically hits an enemy after being thrown. It can be found at an Increased Criminal Activity location around the eastern side of Dogtown, near the Luxor High Wellness Spa fast travel point. After fighting through a large group of Voodoo Boys, the group's boss, Ayo Zarin, can be found at the end, wielding the Agaou. Defeating her allows the axe to be looted, granting a powerful tool for builds centered around throwing weapons, and an alternative to the game's many knives.

Like the Agaou, the Raiju Tech SMG, which can penetrate cover without charging, can also be looted from an Increased Criminal Activity spot near just to the
