The side quest "" forces players to decide the fate of a former SovOil agent named Katya. The quest begins with Ana and Steven, two members of a Brazilian intelligence agency, hiring V to find their missing friend and former collaborator, one Mark Bana. Bana wore a biomonitor at the time of his disappearance, which is still giving off signals to suggest he might be alive. However, the agents warn that it might not actually be Bana behind the signals. V tracks Bana through Organitopia, a natural history museum taken over by technological scavengers, and at the end of it all, finds Katya.
Ana and Steven call V again here, and demand that they kill Katya on the spot. However, the situation is slightly more complicated than it seems. Katya is only impersonating Bana because she needs help from the Brazilian government. It's not totally clear whether she killed him herself, or just assumed his identity after the fact. And she makes certain promises that can be very beneficial to V — if she's actually true to her word, that is. What V decides to do here, and what happens next determines the outcome of this quest, as well as the rewards they receive.

If V agrees to help Katya, she first explains her situation. She used to work for SovOil, a powerful oil corporation based out of the Neo-Soviet Union, as an interrogator. Again, it's not clear whether she actually killed Bana, but she did interrogate him, and learned something about Brazil's collaboration with SovOil that the corporation didn't want her to know. Since then, she's been on the run from her former employer, and she wants to formally inquire about seeking help or asylum from the Brazilian government.
Ana still insists that V kill Katya, but if they continue to talk with Katya, she's grateful for their mercy. She gives V Bana's biomonitor, and also a bit of useful intel. She claims to have a stash somewhere in Dogtown, and provides the coordinates to it. This begins the side job "," which is entirely about the search for Katya's stash. Following the quest marker leads V to an abandoned Dogtown parking garage. Inside the highlighted area is a large green dumpster. V needs to interact with it and push it aside. Beneath it is a grate in the floor; open that, and V can help themselves.
Inside is a new piece of Cyberware: the Sweet Dreams armored-laminate BD wreath. This can be slotted into V's face for a reduction in the time it takes to upload a quickhack, making it one of the best new Cyberware pieces in for those who rely on hacking in combat. V will also find a stash of eurodollars, which may range from 8,000 to 17,500, and a Data Shard that outlines a little more about
