As one of the most unique new Side Jobs included in 's, "" presents a difficult choice with unclear outcomes — how to help BARGHEST recruit Paco Torres avoid certain death at the hands of Dogtown and BARGHEST leader, Kurt Hansen. The Side Jobs becomes available after completing the opening missions of — specifically, after completing "" — and can be started by going to the Side Jobs marker near the Golden Pacific fast travel point, where Paco will speak to V, automatically starting the Side Job.

One thing to note about the Side Job isthat it has a time limit — "" can only be done before a certain point in the main story quest "." Completing that mission and progressing the main story of will mean that the quest is no longer available and automatically fails if it has been picked up. While this does make a certain amount of sense in the context of the Side Job, it's one of the few missions in the game that works in this way, meaning that it may catch players who were saving it for later off guard when they can no longer save Paco in .

"" is one of 's more unique Side Jobs — as Paco and his friend Babs tell V about their situation, Paco will offer a drug called Deep Dive, and accepting it is required to advance the quest. Taking the drug will put V into two hallucinatory flashback sequences where Kurt Hansen serves as the point of view and playable character, explaining Paco's situation — he was a new recruit in BARGHEST, picked to accompany Hansen on a job to transport a supply convoy. However, the convoy was attacked by Scavs, leading to a shootout where players control Kurt Hansen.

After dealing with the Scavs, Paco is given a new responsibility — to drive the convoy himself while Hansen and the others stay behind to interrogate the lone remaining Scav, which he took advantage of to steal and sell some extra generators that weren't on the list of the convoy's goods. As Paco and Babs explain, it's now only a matter of time before Hansen finds out, connects the theft to Paco, and kills him, possibly both of them, to set an example. From here, he asks for V's help, and there are three possible options — frame Yuri,help Paco escape Dogtown, or call V's contacts for help.
