Adding to the expansive arsenal available in the base game of , adds a number of new Iconic weapons to the game. While many can be found by simply playing through the DLC's story missions, the locations of others can be especially hard to pinpoint. Some weapons, for example, may only be made available through certain quests or decisions, while others might be hidden in subtle ways or placed in obscure locations. And, as Iconic weapons tend to have effects that can't be replicated by any other piece of gear, missing them may deprive a playthrough of unique gameplay.

The side quest "" forces players to decide the fate of a former SovOil agent named Katya. The quest begins with Ana and Steven, two members of a Brazilian intelligence agency, hiring V to find their missing friend and former collaborator, one Mark Bana. Bana wore a biomonitor at the time of his disappearance, which is still giving off signals to suggest he might be alive. However, the agents warn that it might not actually be Bana behind the signals. V tracks Bana through Organitopia, a natural history museum taken over by technological scavengers, and at the end of it all, finds Katya.

Despite the new DLC including a phenomenal storyline and lots of new content for , it sadly did not include any romance options among its newly introduced NPCs. The spy-thriller DLC has many hours worth of exciting missions to do, new weapons and perks to play around with, and lots of new characters with engaging backstories in both the main DLC campaign and the many side gigs. 's Dogtown District is home to some colorful characters, and the major people that V interacts with for the story have a depth to their personalities that would be fun to be able to explore even more.

In a similar vein to base , the main story of the DLC has several major decisions which can drastically change the story, which rewards are obtained, and endings for both the DLC's story and the story of the main game. Taking place around the time of the later parts of 's main story, has V delving into a sectioned-off area of Night City known as Dogtown, pulled into a mission to save the president of the NUSA from a crash by the enigmatic Songbird in exchange for a promised cure to V's terminal condition.

Continuing the trend set by the base game of , the DLC has a variety of side quests and gigs that offer meaningful decisions, which in many cases can significantly effect the quests' narratives and rewards, which happens to be the case with a quest called "." Taking place in Dogtown, a cordoned-off section of Night City controlled by the warlord Kurt Hansen, brings with it a new, espionage-focused main storyline that fits into the story of 's base game, as well as a number of new side activities and NPCs to populate the newly accessibly area.

After the events of 's DLC, players are forced to choose the new boss of Dogtown: the wily Jago, or the brutal Bennett. These two have been squabbling over territory for the entirety of the DLC, and while Kurt Hansen and his Barghest militia once kept them in check, that guiding force has disappeared as of 's ending. V is drawn into the power vacuum created by Hansen's death during the side quest "." They have the authority to decide which of the remaining two factions will take over the district.

's DLC brings many new side quests to the open world of Night City, but one in particular shouldn't be skipped. Naturally, the main focus of the DLC is on its tense, twisted spy thriller of a story. Even so, some of its side quests do a wonderful job of expanding its world, getting the player acquainted with the notable people, places, and things of Dogtown to ease them along their journey.

Early in the DLC's main story for, V is faced with a difficult choice without a lot of time to make a well-thought-out decision. As is often the case with much of the game, there are many decisions that have to be handled which can affect other things down the line, and particularly when trying to roleplay it can be hard to know what the right choice is. Dogtown residents Jacob and Taylor may talk tough, but whether they deserve the maximum punishment for their actions is ultimately up to the player to decide.

There are several new characters you can meet in Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty expansion. These notable characters will be working alongside you, or even against you, throughout the narrative, and one of the new characters you can meet is Alex. She was on Solomon Reed’s previous team when they operated with the FIA, and she’s been undercover in Dogtown, working as a bartender.

The story of 's DLC comes down to one pivotal choice: side with Solomon Reed, or Song «Songbird» So Mi? Reed is a Federal Intelligence Agency officer, and Songbird is a Netrunner who serves as President Myers' aide. When the President's helicopter takes a dive in Dogtown, and the President herself is trapped, both of these characters call on the mercenary V for help. However, they have a history, and Reed is convinced that letting Songbird fly is more trouble than it's worth. Reed believes that Songbird's work behind the Blackwall, a defense measure against rogue AI, is dangerous. And he's got the President on his side.
