Continuing the trend set by the base game of , the DLC has a variety of side quests and gigs that offer meaningful decisions, which in many cases can significantly effect the quests' narratives and rewards, which happens to be the case with a quest called "." Taking place in Dogtown, a cordoned-off section of Night City controlled by the warlord Kurt Hansen, brings with it a new, espionage-focused main storyline that fits into the story of 's base game, as well as a number of new side activities and NPCs to populate the newly accessibly area.
After the action-packed intro of the DLC, which involves rescuing NUSA President Rosalind Myers from a crashed vessel, Dogtown is more or less free to explore, allowing players to pick up some of 's side quests and gigs before continuing with the DLC's main storyline. This prompts a small time-skip until the operation is done, when Damir will inform V that the chip has been safely disabled. Before Aaron wakes up from the procedure however, a new problem will rear its head — Angie, a member of the Animals, will walk into the room along with two bodyguards, starting a dialogue where she reveals that the chip was never actually used — Aaron simply took the dives as he was told to.
Here, Angie will also offer a deal — simply leave the room and allow Aaron to take a dive in his next fight, and V will get a cut of the money. The simplest option is to just take this deal when offered and leave Aaron with Angie. A few days after striking the deal, Angie will ask V to meet her at the boxing ring, where she'll give them a
