Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty has one of the most terrifying missions this side of Alien: Isolation

I don't think I'm spoiling too much off the jump by saying that Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty's endings are emotionally charged and more than a little bit devastating. It is also a natural gamer behavior to goof around in such moments, but as reported by VG247, CD Projekt Red seems to have anticipated players attempting to bork one such scene, inserting hidden dialogue to reflect their apparent death drive. 's DLCgreatly expands on the base game's original map, including a variety of new hidden locations. adds a whole section to 's map: the lawless district of Dogtown. Once a planned, private resort getaway for Night City's well-to-do luminaries, Dogtown soon fell under the control of Kurt Hansen and his iron-fisted Barghest paramilitary gang. By the time V arrives, high rises and luxury shops are in total disarray, and anyone who isn't part of Barghest's rank and file is forced to live in fear. Their hidden stashes and abandoned apartments make up some of the DLC's most fascinating areas.

Despite the new DLC including a phenomenal storyline and lots of new content for , it sadly did not include any romance options among its newly introduced NPCs. The spy-thriller DLC has many hours worth of exciting missions to do, new weapons and perks to play around with, and lots of new characters with engaging backstories in both the main DLC campaign and the many side gigs. 's Dogtown District is home to some colorful characters, and the major people that V interacts with for the story have a depth to their personalities that would be fun to be able to explore even more.

In a similar vein to base , the main story of the DLC has several major decisions which can drastically change the story, which rewards are obtained, and endings for both the DLC's story and the story of the main game. Taking place around the time of the later parts of 's main story, has V delving into a sectioned-off area of Night City known as Dogtown, pulled into a mission to save the president of the NUSA from a crash by the enigmatic Songbird in exchange for a promised cure to V's terminal condition.

Having completed a three-year comeback that finally turned it into the game it should have been on launch day, it looks like Cyberpunk 2077 is now headed for television screens. CD Projekt Red announced today that it is working with production company Anonymous Content on a "live-action project" that will tell a brand new story set in Night City.

It may surprise you to know that Idris Elba has musical collaborations with Taylor Swift, Wiley and Paul McCartney under his belt, and now we can add to that his contributions to Phantom Liberty: a 3 track EP (The Phantom Files) and full DJ set. Elba's acting career may overshadow his musical output, but he does have an extensive back catalogue of songs as well as a seriously impressive list of collaborators.

has always offered some special, one-of-a-kind weapons called Iconic weapons with unique names and powerful extra abilities, and the new DLC has added even more for V to enjoy collecting. Completing many of the story missions will lead V to some of the best Iconics, but there are many more to be found. Entering Dogtown for the new spy-thriller storyline of the DLC means not only are there a lot of new shady individuals to loot and a black market to explore, but there are also airdrops that often have some valuable rewards.

Phantom Liberty and Update 2.0 might have made a lot of improvements to Cyberpunk 2077 but one new bug has introduced a haunted police car to Night City.

Early in the DLC's main story for, V is faced with a difficult choice without a lot of time to make a well-thought-out decision. As is often the case with much of the game, there are many decisions that have to be handled which can affect other things down the line, and particularly when trying to roleplay it can be hard to know what the right choice is. Dogtown residents Jacob and Taylor may talk tough, but whether they deserve the maximum punishment for their actions is ultimately up to the player to decide.

The story of 's DLC comes down to one pivotal choice: side with Solomon Reed, or Song «Songbird» So Mi? Reed is a Federal Intelligence Agency officer, and Songbird is a Netrunner who serves as President Myers' aide. When the President's helicopter takes a dive in Dogtown, and the President herself is trapped, both of these characters call on the mercenary V for help. However, they have a history, and Reed is convinced that letting Songbird fly is more trouble than it's worth. Reed believes that Songbird's work behind the Blackwall, a defense measure against rogue AI, is dangerous. And he's got the President on his side.
