It took some time, but CD Projekt Red's troubled RPG finally has as much substance as it has style, in no small thanks to the recent Phantom Liberty DLC and patch 2.0.
But all of this leaves us asking, how long does it take to complete Cyberpunk 2077 and the Phantom Liberty DLC?
It's no surprise it takes quite a while considering there are many Cyberpunk 2077 missions to get through.
You'll get even more out of the game, too, if you try to complete all of the Cyberpunk 2077 endings.
Though patch 2.0 doesn't include much in the way of new missions, it does help speed up the Overdrive RTX mode, if that slowed things down for you too much.
There's plenty of gaming ahead of you, so we won't take up any more of your precious time. Read on and all shall be revealed!
The last game that CD Projekt Red made was The Witcher 3, and that was huge – so big, in fact, that a decision was made to make Cyberpunk 2077 smaller, as the developers learned that there were many who never got around to even finishing it.
That doesn't really mean it is small, though, by any stretch of the imagination.
How Long to Beat has Cyberpunk 2077 taking you 24 hours to get through the main story, 60 hours for the main story and side quests or 103 hours for a completionist run.

The latest DLC, Phantom Liberty, which brought about a whole host of new content and upgrades to the game via the 2.0 patch, has also added a healthy chunk of gameplay for those looking for something new in Night City.
Coming in clutch again, How Long to Beat puts Phantom Liberty as taking 12 hours for the main story, 20 hours for the main story and sides and 28 hours for a 100 per cent completionist run — so, depending on your play style, you'll find yourself spending quite a bit of time in Dogtown.
Unfortunately, this is the first and final DLC Cyberpunk 2077 will be receiving, but hopefully modders can continue to create new content and stories for years to come.

Players are missing out on one of the coolest cyberware weapons in , as the game cut it out from its base material. The critically acclaimed action RPG by CD Projekt Red was first created based on the 1988 tabletop RPG called, by Mike Pondsmith. Because of this, a lot of the game’s features are inspired by the original game. Prior to the disastrous launch of , the fourth edition of the tabletop game, named, was released, serving as a prequel to the story told in the video game by the renowned Polish studio, also responsible for the series of games.
Like many of CD Projekt RED's games, 's DLC contains a great number of excellently concealed Easter eggs, hidden details, and subtle pop-culture references. Although some of 's secrets are easily discovered, others are incredibly hard to uncover — this, however, is part of the fun. While simple awareness of a reference is rewarding, having to spend a great deal of time and effort in locating an Easter egg amplifies the reward.
As reported by Bloomberg, it's been revealed that CD Projekt used AI to replicate the voice of the late Miłogost Reczek, who voiced Night City's most reliable ripper doc, Viktor Vektor, in the base game's Polish localisation back in 2020.
CD Projekt Red has used a combination of AI and a new voice actor to record new lines for a Cyberpunk 2077 character in Phantom Liberty.
CD Projekt turned to AI technology to replicate a Cyberpunk 2077 Polish voice actor who passed away in 2021.
If you've ever spoken to the ripperdoc character Viktor Vektor in the Polish localisation of Cyberpunk 2077's Phantom Liberty expansion, you've been talking to a cyborg. Technically, of course, most characters in Cyberpunk 2077 are cyborgs, but in this case, I'm referring to one voice actor posing as another using voice-cloning technology, following the second actor's death.
Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty includes the voice of a deceased actor from the base game, replicated using an AI algorithm by developer CD Projekt Red for the DLC campaign. The technology was used to recreate the sound of the late Miłogost Reczek, who voices delightfully named ripperdoc Viktor Vektor in the base game, with the permission from his family.
Cyberpunk 2077 publisher and developer CD Projekt used AI to recreate the voice of a deceased actor.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is being heralded as the game that we deserved back in 2020, finally completing CD Projekt Red's vision of Night City. Alongside the version 2.0 update, Phantom Liberty overhauls almost everything about the game, from its combat and RPG mechanics, to how its NPCs interact with the world. But that doesn't mean it's without its issues.
Staff at Cyberpunk 2077 studio CD Projekt are forming a union in an effort to represent and provide a voice for “all Polish gamedev workers” while improving industry conditions, after around 9% of the company’s development studio CD Projekt Red were laid off earlier this year.
