Players are missing out on one of the coolest cyberware weapons in , as the game cut it out from its base material. The critically acclaimed action RPG by CD Projekt Red was first created based on the 1988 tabletop RPG called, by Mike Pondsmith. Because of this, a lot of the game’s features are inspired by the original game. Prior to the disastrous launch of , the fourth edition of the tabletop game, named, was released, serving as a prequel to the story told in the video game by the renowned Polish studio, also responsible for the series of games.
With, several new features and implements were introduced. Although many of these updated core elements from the tabletop series were incorporated into the game by CD Projekt Red, there were some that were left out. One of these cut elements from the game just so happens to be one of the coolest cyberware weapons available in the entire franchise and one that would have gone along extremely well with stealth builds in . Although not every single feature from the tabletop title could have made it to the final version of the video game, this one certainly deserved it.

One of the coolest cyberware weapons in the franchise is called Vampyres. This is an internal body cyberware that lives up to its name. In essence, the player replaces their set of regular teeth with Vampyres, sharpened teeth that can be used to bite opponents for damage. It is considered an Excellent Quality Light Melee Weapon in the tabletop RPG and could have been adapted to fit into the world of – especially when considering the video game has cyberware like Mantis Blades or Monowire. It would have likely required an extra cyberware Face or Skeleton slot to implement, but Vampyres could have worked.

Vampyres is actually a very great stealth weapon to use in the tabletop RPG. This is mainly due to two important factors: it is easily concealable, and it does not produce any noise when utilized. If it were adapted into, players could walk around with Vampyres without ever getting noticed – even stealth-based cyberware like Mantis Blades has marks on the arms, whereas Vampyres would only require the host to keep their mouth closed. In addition to that, they could be utilized for stealth kills and even enhanced, so as to shut the target’s mouth to prevent them from screaming when being attacked.
