Mortal Kombat 1 Reveals Newest Kameo's Release Date

Mortal Kombat 1’s next Kameo fighter is Mavado, the high-ranking commander of the ancient Red Dragon clan, and his release date has just been revealed. While Mortal Kombat 1’s main roster consists of revamped versions of classic characters in a brand-new timeline, the secondary Kameo fighter line-up contains the time-displaced original versions of combatants from across the old Mortal Kombat games. These older incarnations can be summoned to help the player during matches, adding new combos and strategies to Mortal Kombat 1’s gameplay.

Rumor: New Mortal Kombat 1 Kameo Character Leaked

A new rumor suggests that the next Mortal Kombat 1 Kameo fighter will be an alternate-timeline version of Scorpion, with Harumi Hasashi donning the iconic yellow ninja mask instead of her husband Hanzo. One of the biggest additions to come from Moral Kombat 1 is the Kameo system, which allows players to select a supporting character from a separate roster to assist in matches. Most of these secondary combatants are classic versions of existingcharacters from the original timeline, which Fire God Liu Kang rebooted at the end of Mortal Kombat 11.

6 Mortal Kombat Characters Based on Real People

It’s often said that art imitates life, and the masterpiece known as Mortal Kombat is no different. From the first game’s realistic digitised graphics and use of actors and martial artists to record the bone-crunching moves, it was obvious that Mortal Kombat creators Ed Boon and John Tobias had been inspired by real-life inspirations for their characters. Some of the influences are obvious, while the others not so much. So, let’s break down the 6 Mortal Kombat characters based on real people.

Mortal Kombat 1: How to Change The Announcer and Unlock New Voices

A highly important yet understated aspect of a fighting game is The Announcer. The voice that says every character and stage when they are selected adds that extra bit of style that can really make a game stand out in your memory. Mortal Kombat 1 has a strong default Announcer with a booming sound that prepares you for the violent encounter that is about to unfold. That being said, the game does give you the ability to change the voice of The Announcer to members of the cast, though you will need to unlock them first. Some of you might even have some of these alternate voices unlocked but don’t know how to apply them while others will want to know how to get every announcer in the game. So, allow me to explain both. This guide will tell players how to change the voice of The Announcer and how to unlock new voices in Mortal Kombat 1.

Ed Boon wanted every fighter in Mortal Kombat 1 to be played by a famous actor, with Keanu Reeves as Kenshi

I've loved the recent Mortal Kombat games, but if there's one thing they have not been good at, it's celebrity cameos. From Ronda Rousey as Sonya, to the Dimitri Vegas skin for Sub-Zero, to most recently Megan Fox as Nitara, more often than not the appearance of a famous face in these games means that you're about to be subjected to voice-acting more grisly than the fatalities. So I'm frankly a little horrified to find out that Ed Boon's dream for Mortal Kombat 1 was for all the fighters to be played by different household names.

But no matter what, the Kombat Pack will soon follow once the game fully releases. Quan-Chi, Ermac, Takeda, Peacemaker, Homelander, and Omni-Man will debut in the game via that pack, with some extra Kameos for good measure. However, as NetherRealm has proven in the past, they won’t let things stay as they are via one DLC pack. Of course, a little bit of the action still made it into the game, with fan-favourite character Johnny Cage being based on him. And interestingly enough, the upcoming series reboot, Mortal Kombat 1, is going full circle.

It’s clear to many that NetherRealm Studios isn’t just bringing in classic Kombatants to fight, but they’re trying hard to get some big-name celebrities of both the voice-acting community and Hollywood proper to help out. One such big name is Jean-Claude Van Damme.

Ed Boon Has Had His DLC “Dream Picks” Fulfilled In Mortal Kombat

There once was a time when it would’ve been impossible to have crossovers within the video game space outside of publishers using their own characters in the titles they made. Nintendo is legendary for doing that even before a certain fighting game franchise was born. However, nowadays, the real question with crossovers isn’t “Can you get them?” it’s instead, “How many can you get?” Mortal Kombat, over the last several entries, has had numerous DLC characters that have blown people’s minds, and the upcoming DLC characters, like Homelander, Omni-Man, and Peacemaker, further add to the belief that anything is possible.

Mortal Kombat 1’s ‘craziest trailer’ yet brings back the hair-based Fatality

Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon showed up to Gamescom’s Opening Night Live stream on Tuesday and brought what Boon described as the “craziest trailer of all” from Mortal Kombat 1.
