Mortal Kombat 1: How to Change The Announcer and Unlock New Voices

The first trailer for Invincible’s Omni-Man in Mortal Kombat 1 recently dropped, showcasing his overwhelming power and mercilessness (all voiced by J.K. Simmons). While he arrives in November with Tremor, the next Kameo Fighter, NetherRealm Studios also announced release windows for other fighters in the Kombat Pack.

NetherRealm has shown off the first look at Omni-Man, a DLC character coming to Mortal Kombat 1.

Mortal Kombat 1 is out now, but as is traditional for the franchise, launch is just the beginning, with plenty of content still in the pipeline for the fighting franchise’s reboot. Series co-creator, director, and NetherRealm Studios boss Ed Boon has issued a reminder for that, recently taking to Twitter and saying, “We look forward to sharing what’s koming next with a loong list of Fighters, Kameos, and game features to come!” An accolades trailer is also shared along with Boon’s tweet to highlight some of the positive critical reception the game has enjoyed. But he recently revealed that he wanted more than that.

Learning who the guest fighters are going to be in the next Mortal Kombat game has become as big a part of the build-up to its release as the reveal of the base roster. Among the guest stars in Mortal Kombat 1 are John Cena's Peacemaker, Invincible's Omni-Man, and Homelander from The Boys. Despite the superhero/supervillain theme when it comes to the new Mortal Kombat game's guests, Ed Boon has revealed the team tried to get John Wick on the roster.

It's pretty much expected nowadays for the majority of the big fighting games to have some kind of cross-play support, what with them being primarily multiplayer focused experiences. Street Fighter 6 had crossplay at launch, as will Tekken 8 when that releases next year, but it seems like Mortal Kombat 1 fans will have to wait a little bit before they can go a few rounds with someone on a different platform.
