Omni-Man Joins Mortal Kombat 1 Roster In November, Full Kombat Pass Timeline Revealed

Mortal Kombat 1 has a hell of a DLC lineup on the way. Today’s Omni-Man gameplay trailer showcases why he may just be the most badass of the bunch when he arrives this month.

As Invincible's Omni-Man is making his debut in Mortal Kombat as the fighting game's first post-launch character, NetherRealm Studios has given us an extended glimpse of the supervillain in action in a new gameplay trailer. Just ahead of the season 2 premiere of Invincible and Omni-Man's debut in Mortal Kombat 1 on November 9, the gameplay trailer shows off Omni-Man's brutal and incredibly imposing combat style, including a fatality that's pulled straight from the gruesome season 1 finale.

Mortal Kombat 1 just released the first full Omni-Man gameplay trailer, revealing that he will be available from November 9 next week if you own either the Premium Edition or first Kombat Pack.

Omni-Man, the J.K. Simmons-voiced character from the Invincible animated series, is coming to Mortal Kombat 1 next week on November 9. Ahead of his debut, NetherRealm Studios has released the official Omni-Man gameplay trailer and alongside hard-hitting (and gory) super moves, it features a brutal and show-accurate fatality for the character. 

A new gameplay trailer has been released showing off the upcoming Omni-Man DLC, which is inspired by the Invincible comic book and Prime Video adult animated series and features the voice of actor J. K. Simmons. It will be released on November 9 as the first playable character in the Kombat Pack.

Ostensibly, the newest trailer for Mortal Kombat 1 is about Omni-Man, the first post-launch DLC fighter coming as part of the game’s Kombat Pack. There’s a ton of gameplay, including a longer look at his Fatality, which is inspired by the gruesome subway scene from Invincible in which many innocent train passengers are killed. And there’s a release date for Omni-Man now; he’s coming to Mortal Kombat 1 on Nov. 9.

Game Pass subscribers have plenty to look forward to in the coming days. Microsoft has revealed the full list of games that will be added to the service’s library as part of its wave 1 lineup for the month of November, and there are a number of major titles included.

Mortal Kombat 1 is set in a new timeline written by Fire God Liu Kang, which means certain relationships and identities have changed. Kuai Liang is now Scorpion, Mileena and Kitana are sisters, and Tarkatan is a disease, not a people. That leaves the question of where the Kombat Kids fit in, but leakers may have found the answer in datamined DLC voice lines which were proven true by the Omni-Man trailer.

You'd be forgiven for thinking The Boys' big bad Supe Homelander is an unbeatable opponent, considering not even Soldier Boy could take him down (though spin-off Gen V may have introduced a character who can).
