Mortal Kombat 1 just released the first full Omni-Man gameplay trailer, revealing that he will be available from November 9 next week if you own either the Premium Edition or first Kombat Pack.
We see him dragging Raiden by his neck across the floor, dashing so fast he's practically teleporting behind his opponent, slamming them left and right by their ankle, and summoning giant hunks of rock to crush people with. We also get to see his and Tremor's X-Ray attack in which he pummels the other player over and over again.
Mortal Kombat 1's first Kombat Pack costs £34.99. The Premium Edition is £84.99.
There's also the subway fatality that we saw in the last trailer, ripped right from the Invincible show, ending with Kenshi's body slipping off in a gory, gooey display, leaving behind only his decapitated head. Then there's our first look at Tremor's fatality where he throws a ball that gradually grows into a boulder until it steamrolls his opponent.
There are still some mysteries around Omni-Man that we'll have to wait until launch to find the answers for. Each character in Mortal Kombat 1 has one customisable part of their outfit, like a mask, but what Omni-Man's will be isn't known yet. Some speculate that it'll be his facial hair, the emblem on his chest, or even his cape. The two trailers and key art haven't given away anything yet, so all we can do is speculate.
The other major mystery is what he's doing with that gigantic rock that doesn't fit on the screen. It's unclear if it's a victory pose or the beginning of a fatality we haven't seen yet, but based on his positioning and the black-and-white background, it's likely the former. There isn't a Kameo with him, which there always is during a victory pose, but we've seen footage in the past where Kameos have been edited out, so it's likely the same case here.
Omni-Man is the first DLC character to arrive in Mortal Kombat 1. After his arrival, we can look forward to Quan-Chi, Ermac, Peacemaker, Takeda, and Homelander. We know Omni-Man is being voiced by J. K. Simmons (who plays the character in Invincible), and John Cena is reprising the role of Peacemaker for the game. However, there's still no confirmation as to whether Antony Starr will play Homelander in the game as he does in The Boys.
When asked by fans on Instagram if he would be lending his voice to Homelander in MK1, he simply said, "mmmmmmm". Vague, but fans are still optimistic that we'll hear his voice in-game.
