The first trailer for Invincible’s Omni-Man in Mortal Kombat 1 recently dropped, showcasing his overwhelming power and mercilessness (all voiced by J.K. Simmons). While he arrives in November with Tremor, the next Kameo Fighter, NetherRealm Studios also announced release windows for other fighters in the Kombat Pack.
Quan Chi, half of the Deadly Alliance and Shang Tsung’s BFF arrives in Winter 2023/2024 (which could mean sometime in January/February 2024). Peacemaker from DC’sThe Suicide Squad debuts in the same window. Ermac and Homelander fromThe Boys TV series will launch in Spring 2024, while Takeda Takahashi releases in Summer 2024.
DLC Kameo Fighters like Ferra, Khameleon and Mavado have yet to be dated. Interestingly, Janet Cage, an alternate universe of Johnny Cage, is included in the line-up, despite several listings for the Kombat Pack still listing the latter. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months. The Kombat Pack is available for $39.99 and included in the Premium Edition of Mortal Kombat 1 for $109.99, but all DLC characters are purchasable standalone.

A new gameplay trailer has been released showing off the upcoming Omni-Man DLC, which is inspired by the Invincible comic book and Prime Video adult animated series and features the voice of actor J. K. Simmons. It will be released on November 9 as the first playable character in the Kombat Pack.
Mortal Kombat 1’s first DLC character, Omni-Man, is available to download from November 9, Warner Bros. Games and developer NetherRealm have announced.
Ostensibly, the newest trailer for Mortal Kombat 1 is about Omni-Man, the first post-launch DLC fighter coming as part of the game’s Kombat Pack. There’s a ton of gameplay, including a longer look at his Fatality, which is inspired by the gruesome subway scene from Invincible in which many innocent train passengers are killed. And there’s a release date for Omni-Man now; he’s coming to Mortal Kombat 1 on Nov. 9.
An accidental posting from Xbox might have revealed when gamers will get their hands on Omni-Man in Mortal Kombat 1! You’ll find the listing from Xbox in the tweet below, but in essence, the post on the official store page for the game on Xbox systems says that Omni-Man will be released on November 6th to those with “early access.” What precisely that means is up in the air, but regardless, we could be getting the Viltrumite warrior in the game sooner than expected. But before we go any further, it should be noted that NetherRealm Studios hasn’t confirmed this release date, and “leaks” like these have been misconstrued in the past.
Xbox spills the beans on when the Invincible villain joins the MK1 roster.
Andrew Morgado, the voice actor for Mortal Kombat 1‘s Reptile, seems to have accidentally revealed that the T-1000 from Terminator 2: Judgment Day will be making its way to the game’s roster. Speaking about working on the game as a voice actor, Morgado talks about meeting various other actors, like Ronda Rousey. He goes on to reveal that Robert Patrick was present at the studio to do work for T-1000.
Mortal Kombat 1 is set in a new timeline written by Fire God Liu Kang, which means certain relationships and identities have changed. Kuai Liang is now Scorpion, Mileena and Kitana are sisters, and Tarkatan is a disease, not a people. That leaves the question of where the Kombat Kids fit in, but leakers may have found the answer in datamined DLC voice lines which were proven true by the Omni-Man trailer.
A lot of chatter is going on right now about a certain franchise from NetherRealm Studios. It’s not hard to see why, either. They just released a new game last month that has been doing very well, unless you’re on the Nintendo Switch, and they have a live-action movie sequel that is coming out eventually. They also just released a new mobile game that fans might be interested in. However, fans should check out another adaptation of the franchise. There have been a string of animated films recently, and Mortal Kombat Legends Cage Match is the latest to join the line.
Think, Liu Kang!
Omni-Man of Invincible fame is coming to Mortal Kombat 1 in November as part of the Kombat Pack, and now the first official gameplay and cinematic footage has been released. The footage shows Omni-Man looking to claim the new timeline for Viltrum Empire. It also shows scenes that almost identical to the Invincible series, like that train scene.
Mortal Kombat 1 had been teasing, and not teasing, various things that they would show at New York Comic Con. Ed Boon himself deconfirmed several things that wouldn’t be shown at the convention, and many felt this meant we wouldn’t get any look at the upcoming DLC characters for the game via its first Kombat Pack. However, NetherRealm Studios DID show something from the Kombat Pack at the show: the first look at Omni-Man! His inclusion in the game had long been rumored before it was officially confirmed alongside other key DLC characters, and his “first look” trailer shows just how brutal things will get.
