Remember Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League? Rocksteady’s live service looter shooter hasn’t been doing so good, peaking at a measly 193 concurrent players on Steam in the last 24 hours (per SteamDB). Nevertheless, the development team is preparing Episode 2 of Season of the Joker, which goes live next month.

Mortal Kombat 1 is set to welcome its fifth DLC character soon in the form of iconic supervillain Homelander of Amazon Prime’s The Boys fame, and though WB Games and developer NetherRealm Studios still haven’t announced a specific release date for his arrival, they’ve shared another glimpse of what the deranged supe is going to look like in the fighter.

After ending its open beta last year, Player First Games’ MultiVersus will fully launch next month. Alongside new characters, netcode changes, a PvE Mode, a shift to Unreal Engine 5 and more, several changes and new mechanics have been added. These include new Dash Attacks.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been one of the more poorly received games of the year so far, which, based on what publisher WB Games has said, has been reflected in the way it has performed commercially as well. The recent release of the game’s first post-launch season has done little to reignite interest, having provoked widespread backlash owing to a number of significant issues. Many would tell you that the writing has been on the wall for the game for a while now, and it seems that WB Games and Rocksteady Studios are beginning to make plans for the finish line as well.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s first season, Season of the Joker, launched on March 29th and instantly received negative feedback from fans. Some criticisms include very little new story content, a grind to unlock The Joker (with an option to pay $10 for instant access), a boss fight with Brainiac based on the Green Lantern, and more. Even the new Incursions are substandard.

Season 1 of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is live, bringing The Joker as the first new playable character. It also offers new Notorious and Infamy sets, cosmetics and weapons. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s first post-launch season is kicking off imminently, bringing with it a new playable character in the form of The Joker, in addition to new weapons, gear, missions, adjustments to the existing content, and more. It will, of course, also go hand-in-hand with a new battle pass, full details for which have now been unveiled by developer Rocksteady Studios.

Along with new Incursion missions, loot and The Joker, Season 1 of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is also making extensive changes to existing systems. It’s reducing the requirements for its introduction to the end game, like completing Elseworld Missions requiring a Finite Crisis Rank 5 instead of 10. Completing Killing Time will require Rank 10 instead of 20, while the Hardcore version requires Rank 15 instead of 30.

After releasing in open beta in 2022, MultiVersus was available for players to dive into for nearly a year, but after going offline in June the following year, the game went almost entirely MIA. The free-to-play Smash Bros.-inspired fighter certainly drew some criticism due to its server issues, aggressive monetiztion, and lackluster progression (among other things), but it was also massively popular, and soon, it’ll be making its return to the limelight.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League finally launched last month, and it’s fair to say that it hasn’t got off to a great start. It was met with mixed reception (at best) from critics and audiences and has failed to attract a sizeable player base, with publisher WB Games recently saying that it had fallen short of commercial expectations.

No one could have predicted that Helldivers 2 would have taken off the way it did, and we’re continuing to see more evidence of just how well Arrowhead Game Studios and Sony’s co-op shooter has performed since its release last month. In the UK, for instance, it was the best-selling game for the month of February by quite some margin, as per data revealed by the GSD that includes both physical and digital sales (via GamesIndustry). 

More than three years on from its announcement, little is known about Monolith Productions’ Wonder Woman game even now, but little snippets of information have nonetheless emerged here and there. Another one of those has been caught in a recently published job listing (via Tech4gamers), which reveals that the studio behind Gotham Knights and Batman: Arkham Origins, WB Games Montreal, is providing development support for Wonder Woman.

Gfk has revealed its UK physical sales charts for the week ending January 6th, and Avalanche Software’s Hogwarts Legacy is on top. As reported by GamesIndustry, the action RPG saw an increase in sales of the PS5 version, though sales dropped overall by 46 percent.
