Rocksteady invited streamers like Benjamin “DrLupo” Lupo to try out Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s end-game recently, outlining how Incursion Missions, Mastery Tiers and Mutators work. Incursion Missions involve venturing to Elseworlds, essentially parallel universes, and completing missions.
First, you gather Promethium by completing Patrol missions in Metropolis, claiming your daily care package, etc. Upon doing so, you can pay to enter the Incursion (with each player having to contribute separately). When teleported, a cool animation showcases all the different universes.
Mastery Tiers represent the increasing difficulty and can introduce different modifiers, like enemies dealing more damage, lightning strikes that can affect traversal, and more. You also have Mutators, like enemies exploding, and they’ll stack as the difficulty increases. Six Mutators will be available when the season launches, but more will be added throughout.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League launches on February 2nd for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. Its third Insider Episode goes live on January 22nd, so stay tuned for more details.
