Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League offers an extensive story and co-op, but since this is a looter shooter, how does the end-game shake out? In a Q&A on Discord (via MP1st), game director Axel Rydy offered new details. Describing it as the team wanted to focus on “mastery.”
“Mastery of your character, traversal, Talents, enemy types, mission mechanics and, of course, your choice of build. And as the difficulty increases, you will have to find new builds to overcome the challenge. That’s why we have three distinct Tiers of Infamy Sets in End Game, all themed around an iconic DC character. For launch, that character is Bane, and his Infamy Sets are all themed around different ways of dominating your enemies and harnessing the chaos around you.”
Infamy Sets are like Gear Sets from Diablo 3 or Tom Clancy’s The Division, where equipping pieces grants bonuses. For example, “Spare Parts and Elbow Grease” offers 50 more percent damage to burning enemies with one piece, while the two-piece bonus reduces grenade damage by 50 percent but grants a 100 percent chance to burn enemies. You also release a Diablo Blaze effect when shields go down, burning all enemies in 15 meters every 30 seconds.
As for the end-game activities, Rydy said, “We have a somewhat chaotic game, with a constantly changing battlefield with lots of things going on. The game is frantic and fast-paced, and we’ve purposefully made it feel like the Squad is always surrounded and in the middle of the chaos. Mastery of the game comes from you harnessing that chaos and using it as one of your strengths, turning the very thing Brainiac is throwing at you right back at him.
The end-game revolves around a “core backbone of mission types that provide a more predictable experience and challenge,” seemingly indicating some objectives similar to regular missions. Of course, Brainiac’s strategies will also evolve as you progress into the end-game. “Brainiac keeps evolving his forces throughout End Game, and you must adapt your builds to match this.”
Some of the mission types include Incursion Missions. “The poor Squad is sent into Brainiac’s domain under the protection of a very fickle Promethium Shield that protects you from the Skull Ship’s tentacles, as well as the full force of Brainiac’s army. The Squad have to fight their way through Brainiac’s forces – often with the help of the Support Squad – to make it back to Metropolis.
“But once the mission is complete, the Promethium Shield goes down, so the Squad has to leg it. Waller’s not doing the Squad any favours here, and she seems intent on emphasizing the Suicide in Suicide Mission. Then we have the more grand Killing Time missions where the Squad is battling an increasingly frantic

WB Games seems to have hit the proverbial nail in Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League’s coffin.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has caught a lot of flak for being a live service game already, but developer Rocksteady Studios has nonetheless made plenty of promises about consistent post-launch support over the months following the game’s release. Of course, like any live service game, each season of content will also bring a new battle pass for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, and in a recent Q&A over on the game’s official Discord channel (via MP1st), studio director Darius Sadeghian recently revealed new details on what to expect from the game on that front.
With Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League just days away from release, details on the game are continuing to flood in, with developer Rocksteady Studios recently also having unveiled its plans for the Bane-themed Season 0, Season 1 (which will add the Joker, among other things), how the game’s battle passes will work, what future post-launch support will look like, and more.
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League has been inching its way closer to the finish line. The game drops next week, and Rocksteady Studios and Warner Bros. Games have continued to market this title for its upcoming release. One of the latest trailers to have been released is a live-action piece. You’ll get to see individuals like Will Arnett and Ron Funches as they take down the Justice League.
As with many major video game launches these days, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has received a live-action trailer. It stars actors Will Arnett and Ron Funches alongside director Jodi Hill as they play the Suicide Squad and act as the “good guys.” Sort of. Check it out below.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is finally out next week after a lengthy delay from last year. Deluxe Edition players will receive early access, and in some new tweets, Rocksteady confirmed it would be available on January 29th, 9 PM PT (or January 30th at your local midnight time) on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. On Steam, it goes live on January 30th, 10 AM PT.
Officially, Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League comes out on February 2nd, the same day that another big title arrives from Atlus. But a few days before, on January 30th, a special “early access” period will start for certain gamers to get into the title beforehand. These dates would excite players if they were hyped for the title. But, currently, the hype for the next game by Rocksteady Studios is “mixed” at best. An easy counter to this “mixed hype” would be to see how the reviews turn out and if critics can sway some of them to the developers’ side. Yet, if reports are to be believed, there’s a problem on that end.
Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League launches on February 2nd for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. However, those who purchase the Deluxe Edition for $99.99 can start on January 30th. There are other goodies, like bonus outfits and weapons – check out the trailer below to see them in action.
With a little more than a week left before the launch of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, the next four playable characters have potentially leaked. According to the rumor, the next four playable characters will all be released in the first year post-launch, and they are Joker, Mrs. Freeze, Lawless, and Deathstroke. In all fairness, it has already been confirmed that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is adding the Joker, but the leaker's initial post dates back to last year – long before the Clown Prince's in-game reveal.
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is arriving in the marketplace next month, so quite a few fans eagerly await to check this game out. With that said, this game made some fans skeptical about its release. It’s a live service title that typically means battle passes and additional content locked behind paywalls. But in a new post and a behind-the-scenes video, it looks like this game will feature plenty of content ready for players to enjoy for free. Included is the addition of the Joker.
After its end-game showcase showing how Incursion Missions work in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Rocksteady finally explained the story behind them in Insider episode 3. It also confirmed that Season 1 would launch in March and include The Joker as a new playable character.
