Sand Land, the new open-world action-adventure based on one of Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama’s lesser-known works is out now, and its surprisingly complex for an anime adaptation. Combat is a big part of Sand Land, with players taking on countless enemies in both hand-to-hand combat as main character Beelzebub or while piloting a variety of different vehicles. It might be slightly overwhelming at first, but don’t worry, we have some tips for dominating the dunes…
Publisher Bushiroad Games and developer Eighting have launched the official website for Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact, revealing details on playable characters Gon, Killua, Leorio, Kurapika, Hisoka, and Netereo, as well as the battle system. New screenshots and character trailers for Gon, Killua, and Hisoka were also released.
The most crucial thing to know going into the action-thriller Boy Kills World is that it eventually features a phenomenally bloody fight scene — a brutal extended throwdown where faces are smashed, fingers purposefully dig into open wounds, and combatants slowly drag a sharp object through each other’s bodies, ripping through skin and muscle with a tactile squelch. It’s a fight so grueling and brutal that even seasoned action-movie veterans might clench their teeth and mutter in reflexive empathy.
Shadow Priests are close to immortal in Awakened Raids as they're self-healing for crazy amounts! Unlike Devastation Evokers, Monks and Assassination Rogues, who are still bugged to do less damage in Awakened Raids, Shadow Priests seem to be bugged in a good way, getting a crazy amount of self healing in Awakened Raids.Devouring Plague is currently healing for ~133% the damage done instead of the intended 30% when inside Awakened Raids.
Elden Ring fans rejoice, for you can now preorder a limited run, life-size replica of the demigod Malenia’s golden prosthetic right arm, courtesy of a partnership between publisher Bandai Namco, and collectibles distributor PureArts Studio.
Knuckles, Paramount Plus’ spinoff series of the Sonic the Hedgehog movies, could have been a shameless IP cash-in. And the premiere isn’t far off! Following the events of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, we find Sonic and Miles “Tails” Prower living an idyllic life in Montana, and helping their new red echidna friend get the hang of Earth life. Without the budget for a big action spectacle, it’s mostly a kid sitcom with the Sonic gang — until it very much is not. In the subsequent five episodes, Knuckles (voiced again by Idris Elba) pairs up with dimwitted Green Hills sheriff Wade Whipple (Adam Pally) on a road trip to Nevada, where they both hope to find meaning in the world. The result is basically Tommy Boy for Sega buffs. It’s bananas.
Your investment in gaming PC deals will go to waste if you don’t upgrade your screen, and if you’re willing to splurge for the best possible gaming experience, you’ll want to go for the 57-inch Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 curved gaming monitor. It’s pretty expensive at its original price of $2,500, so you’re going to want to take advantage of any discounts that are available. Fortunately, Samsung has slashed its price by $700 so it’s down to $1,800 — it’s still not cheap, but once you’re playing your favorite games on this monitor, you’ll quickly understand why it’s worth every single penny.
A new trailer for Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact (yes, that's really the name) has revealed two new characters who will be on the roster - Uvogin and Machi Komacine.
Playing through to the credits in can take a while, but anyone particularly enraptured with the game might want to keep the adventure going after the ending. tells the story of a futuristic soldier named Eve working to retake a ruined Earth, a task that requires fighting plenty of hostile creatures with uniquely challenging attacks to parry and overcome. It can be tempting to rush through to keep the focus on the action, but there's also an appeal in ferreting out secrets in its harsh world.
In 10.2.7, a new questline takes us on a trip down Dragonflight's memory lane, as Scalecommander Emberthal considers finally deciding on her visage form.
As the end of the current phase of Destiny 2 draws to a close, with The Final Shape out in just a month and a change, it really does seem like Bungie is putting it all on the line. A new faction, the first in years, will be introduced, as will the ability to mix and match subclass powers. Now, the developer has announced that it will do away with Power limits, deeming them incompatible with Fireteam Power.
Publisher Bushiroad Games and developer Eighting have released the the first official trailer for three-on-three fighting game Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact.
Despite being a very good game, Granblue Fantasy: Relink got a bit lost in what was a chaotic release schedule earlier this year — but developer Cygames will be hoping that the action RPG's first big update will get people's attention. Launching on the 26th April (that's tomorrow at the time of writing), patch 1.2.0 adds a bunch of new stuff to the game.
Light novel and anime hit That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is being adapted into video game form for the first time on consoles. Featuring a title that's going to kill us every time we have to type it out — That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Isekai Chronicles — it's a side-scrolling action RPG featuring a bunch of playable heroes.
In its weekly This Week in Destiny blog post, Bungie announced today it would be reversing one of its most controversial Destiny 2 decisions: the one that "sunset" older weapons by giving them a power limit.
Another week, another Pokémon Go raid – this time, it’s Mega Aggron.
If you’re looking for a quirky underwater adventure, Another Crab’s Treasure has you covered with its kelp forests, unusual sand-dwelling NPCs, and creative gameplay mechanics. However, it’s worth noting that it’s also a challenging soulslike experience that is certain to leave you facing off against some enemies multiple times before felling them. One way to help this along is to invest in the game’s skills, which often grant you some entirely new attacks or passive abilities that drastically change up the way you approach combat.
As we near the end of April, the fighting game scene truly begins to heat up. From April 27 to 29, the best of the best will gather in Tokyo to crown an Evo Japan champion. Then, players will gather for the world’s premier fighting game event, Evo 2024 in Las Vegas. Through the PlayStation Tournaments: Road to Evo program, players can compete at home and join online competitions for a chance to win a trip and showcase their skills at Evo 2024 in Las Vegas.
In recent years, it’s become common for AAA games to hold back their New Game+ modes, often rolling them out as part of a “big update” weeks or months after launch. Well, apparently, that won’t be the case with the upcoming PS5 exclusive Stellar Blade, which will have New Game+ available from launch, and it sounds pretty meaty. In addition to tackling the game at a higher difficulty, players can look forward to learning new skills and earning a bunch of NG+ exclusive outfits for Eve (a hefty 34 all!) We have more details about NG+ below, but first, check out Stellar Blade’s stylish launch trailer.
Japanese esports organization CAG Osaka has uploaded a 13-minute gameplay video of Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact ahead of its playable debut at EVO Japan 2024 this weekend.
Capcom has raised its full-year earnings forecast after new and older games sold well during the 12 months ended on March 31, 2024.
Unlocking and beating the Knave boss fight in can grant you important rewards for some characters, in addition to being one of the best encounters in the game. The Knave is the boss form of Arlecchino, the Fatui Harbinger that was first introduced as an NPC and was then added as a new playable character in 4.6. While Arlecchino is a ruthless and powerful DPS unit, she gets even more powerful in her boss form – this is quite similar to Raiden Shogun as a character versus her boss form in the region of Inazuma.
Debuts don’t get much stronger than Stellar Blade. Korean developer Shift Up – already financially flush from the success of its saucy smartphone gacha NIKKE: Goddess of Victory – has chosen the path of most resistance, turning its hand to AAA territory with this rambunctious action-adventure outing. Despite the inherent risks involved, it’s stuck the landing like an acrobatic anime heroine, backflipping her way between deadly laser beams. That is to say, this is a PS5 console exclusive well worth playing.
It’s wonderfully ironic that the biggest breath of fresh air the soulslike genre has received in years comes from an adventure that takes place entirely underwater. Where most dodge-rolling action games are drab, bloody, and edgelordian, Another Crab’s Treasure is bursting with bright colors, cartoonish sea creatures, and silly humor. That extreme departure from serious and spooky vibes makes it standout in an increasingly crowded space, even when it follows the formula extremely closely in every other regard. It suffers from overly simplistic combat, a general lack of challenge, and some bugs and camera wonkiness now and again – but with memorable characters, an extremely enjoyable story, and lots of original ideas, Another Crab’s Treasure had me grinning all throughout my 20-hour tour of the ocean floor.
On Tuesday, the U.S. Senate passed an extensive, $95 billion national security package that sends financial aid to Taiwan, Ukraine, Israel, and Gaza. Tucked inside that bill is a piece of legislation the government’s been trying to pass for a while — a purported “TikTok ban.” Called the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controller Applications Act, the bill won’t exactly ban TikTok; instead, the goal is to force TikTok owner ByteDance to sell the popular app. The legislation signed by President Joe Biden on Wednesday will give ByteDance nine months to sell TikTok. (Biden could extend the deadline by 90 days, too.)
Stellar Blade is one of those action-adventure boob games. You probably know the ones I mean, where you fight off huge monsters using incredible powers whilst wearing skin-tight fetish outfits. We’re talking head-to-toe black leather that looks like it was painted on with incredibly thin paint, and that’s one of the more reserved options you have for dressing up Eve. Once you’ve adjusted to the constant fetishisation, there’s a pretty enjoyable game to be found in here with quite a few interesting quirks, along with a few not-so-interesting ones.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade: Wrath of the Mutants is a gaming Trojan Horse. I don’t mean to suggest that, instead of the beloved heroes in a half-shell, this 2D side-scrolling beat ‘em up stars a squad of teenage mutant wooden horses. Rather, Wrath of the Mutants has used a cunning disguise to sneak past the discerning gamer’s ‘bad game’ sonar, just as the Greeks cunningly snuck into Troy all those centuries ago. This console release rides on the coattails of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, but while the two games share many similarities, Wrath of the Mutants pales in comparison.
Helldivers 2 has a wide variety of terrain to overcome, each one filled with bots, bugs, and any other sentient alien race that would prefer you to be a red stain on the floor. You'll struggle to find a location as universally despised as Hellmire though, a bug-ridden planet prone to the odd fire tornado, and one that Helldivers 2 players aren't going anywhere near anytime soon.
2K is facing a community backlash, following its decision to ban a popular WWE 2K24 creator.
Your main upgrades in a metroidvania like Tales of Kenzera: Zau will always be your new abilities. These transform the way you move and fight, but there are other ways you can make Zau a more powerful shaman. Trinkets are introduced right away, but aren’t given away as freely as you might think. Each one requires you to overcome a small trial that tests your platforming abilities off the main path. Technically, you can miss every single one aside from the one you begin the game with. Even though there are a few fast travel points, backtracking isn’t a particularly fun experience. Here are all the Trinket locations in Tales of Kenzera: Zau, plus which ones you should equip.
Spoilers for the Fallout TV series.
A thrilling JRPG called Bloodline: The Last Royal Vampire just came out for Android devices in Southeast Asia (SEA) and India! The game is based on a famous Chinese graphic novel. It’s about Lilo, the last royal vampire, and her friend Ren, who are trying to keep their loved ones safe from the Holy Land, a mysterious force.
Even in its early alpha state, my extensive hands-on time with Eternal Strands gave me a lot to be excited about. Whether it’s the Monster Hunter-esque boss fights against giant creatures, the interesting and flexible physics-manipulating magical powers, or the obvious dedication to telling a wholesome story filled with lovable characters, this upcoming indie repeatedly surprised me by being very different from its action-adventure peers. By combining a hodgepodge of some of my favorite elements from different genres into one action-packed package, developer Yellow Brick Games hopes to pull off something wholly unique with its inaugural title. After numerous hours climbing atop fiery dragons and freezing pesky knights in a block of ice, I think Eternal Strands stands a good chance of delivering something really special, and I’ll definitely be keeping a close eye on it.
FX’s Shōgun is the best show of the year by some margin. The impeccably crafted period piece builds out complex and memorable characters and an impressive portrait of Japan at the turn of the 17th century, and every decision — down to the smallest details — reflects the clear artistic intent and spirit of collaboration behind the series.
Riot Games has released a new trailer for free-to-play fighting game 2XKO featuring an in-depth look at playable character Illaoi, the Kraken Priestess.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes MSRP $49.99 Score Details Pros
Tekken 8 recently added a battle pass which locks new content behind a paywall, despite the base game retailing at $69.99 with a $30 season pass. It immediately proved controversial, dragging the Steam score down to 'mixed', and things have only gotten worse in the weeks since as it now sits at an even lower 'mostly negative'.
Helldivers 2 players have been getting reinforcements in the fight against the Automatons and Terminids for quite a while now, but we've not really had anything of real substance since mechs dropped at the start of March, and they're pretty fragile at the best of time. Helldivers have been itching for firepower, and the recent leaks surrounding APCs are making fans antsy.
Capcom has shared a list of patch notes for a Dragon's Dogma 2 PS5 update that'll drop at some point later this month, and chief among them is news the game's dragonsplague mechanic will be reduced in frequency and made much more easily noticeable. The patch notes confirm the infection will be spread at a slower rate and your Pawns' eyes will glow a lot more, making the disease a lot easier to deal with.
Who are the strongest and most powerful anime characters of all time? Is it Saitama? Whis? Or Zeno? While fans will argue and debate about this forever, here’s our ranking of the best—from gods to dragons.
Final Fantasy XVI: The Rising Tide story expansion is out now, and as you’d expect, it includes some new gear, including the best weapons in the game thus far. One of these is the Tonberry Knife, which isn’t the most powerful in the game in terms of raw damage, but is the most best in terms of inflicting “Will” or stagger damage. For those familiar with FF16’s combat system, staggering enemies frequently is arguably more important than just dealing raw damage, so you’re going to want to get your hands on the Tonberry Knife. Here’s how to do so…
Teapot Games has just launched AeroMayhem PvP: Air Combat Ace on Android. It’s an air combat simulation where you fly a fighter jet and take on enemies across vast maps. Based in India, Teapot Games has published other air combat titles like War Dogs: Air Combat Flight S and Jumbo Jet Flight Simulator.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is a classic rags to riches tale, only about an entire army. I didn’t know what my team would end up looking like when I started recruiting dozens of unique characters – however, as more fighters joined my cause, from a two-faced healer with a brutish side to a magical girl with a hero complex, this unpredictable journey started to take shape. The scale of the story grew with every chapter, folding in more countries and people that would eventually turn my ragtag team into a proper battalion. That sizable cast and loads of side content can add fluff to the campaign, with half-baked elements like encounters that rely on RNG to drag things down a bit. But for anyone willing to hold out long enough, Hundred Heroes’ slow burn eventually lights into an impressive fire.
Like any FromSoftware game, Elden Ring is full of bosses so tough that every time you reach them in a new playthrough, part of you wants to put the controller down and save yourself the headache. We're all human, or as human as Tarnished can get. And that's what the subreddit has been discussing, sharing all the big bads that they go out of their way to skip every time they play the game.

You can do so badly in Frostpunk 2 that every in-game faction will go to war against one another, but mercifully, its developer hasn't seen anyone stumble upon the scenario just yet.
Three comic books based on video games are among the titles to be given away during Free Comic Book Day next month.
The original Tails of Iron was quietly a big success for developer Odd Bug Studio. The action RPG about a kingdom of rats has drawn in a lot of fans thanks to its sketch-like art style, deliberate combat, and explorable world. We suppose the fact it's narrated by Doug Cockle — voice of Geralt in The Witcher series — may have something to do with it too, but whatever the case, the team isn't resting on its laurels for Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter. After watching the sequel in action in a hands-off preview, it's clear there's plenty here to stop it from growing stail — sorry, stale.
Rebellion has today published a fresh PSVR2 trailer for Zombie Army VR, a spin-off from the main Zombie Army series that marks its first foray into virtual reality. It delivers a fully-fledged campaign that can be played alone or with a friend, and charts a path alongside the main games telling the story of a Deadhunter on the search for zombie war criminals.
Capes is a turn-based superhero tactics game set in a world where the villains have already won. We've had our eye on this one for a little while now, as it looks like it could be quite special. Here's hoping it won't be received as tragically as Firaxis' excellent Marvel's Midnight Suns when it hits on 29th May on PS5 and PS4.
Beating the Tides of War event in 2.1 is a matter of using the best team comps and selecting the ideal Support Functions that will not only give you a bonus during the combat phases but also synergize with the team you chose. In one stage of this combat event in 2.1, for instance, the best way of getting through all the boss encounters is to focus on Energy Regeneration alone, with a party that boosts that effect, sustained by Support Functions that further increase the rate at which your characters recharge their Ultimates.

Back in 2022, I previewed World of Warcraft's last expansion, Dragonflight, in a press pre-alpha situation. Though I'm always hesitant to glowingly recommend an entire MMORPG expansion based on brief early alpha storyline play and not the sum of its content, Dragonflight felt exceptional out of the gate, and was, largely thanks to the transformative new dragonriding mechanic and other major changes that shook off the dust from the widely panned Shadowlands expansion. Blizzard designed the Dragon Isles with bombast in mind, and my very early experiences zipping around them adequately conveyed the sense of increased scale and majesty that would carry throughout the entire expansion.
An incredibly talented cosplayer has created an extremely realistic that looks like one of the soldiers has walked out of the game. Since 's release in February 2024, players have flocked to Arrowhead Game Studios' cooperative third-person shooter in droves to do their part for Super Earth, fighting off the bug-like Terminids and the robotic Automatons to bring peace and democracy to the galaxy.

When you think of some of the scariest, most bone-chilling creatures you could potentially face while crossing Fallout's many Wastelands, there aren't many that conjure up more fear than the Deathclaw. They've been the stuff of nightmares for decades, and they're arguably one of the most iconic baddies from across the entire series. That makes their exclusion from the first season of the Fallout TV show all the more perplexing.
New screenshots of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, the next game in the beloved Budokai Tenkaichi series, confirms more characters coming to the hotly-anticipated 3D fighting game. Among its ranks of super-powered heroes is Dragon Ball Z’s oft-forgotten Saiyan warrior, Future Gohan.
An imaginative Pokemon fan recently put together a fake commercial for the ever-helpful Poke Mart Potions. The Pokemon franchise is largely centered around elementally empowered creatures battling one another, and injuries and lowered health meters are just part of the job for any aspiring Pokemon Trainer. If a Pokemon’s health is depleted completely, it faints and can no longer be used to battle until it is restored at the local Pokemon Center, but there are luckily several portable Pokemon items players can use to keep their critters in top fighting condition.
Super fans of Hades will soon get their first chance to get their hands on an early version of the game’s sequel soon. While you’re exploring the land of the Enclave and taking on gargantuan bosses in Eternal Strands, you’ll unlock more and more magical abilities to help you on your journey. Continuing our month-long exclusive coverage of the upcoming action-adventure game from a new team comprised of ex-BioWare and Ubisoft developers, today we’ll be taking a look at a few abilities at the heart of this battle-heavy odyssey and how they can be combined in surprising and creative ways.
Bethesda titles are massive, with tons of loot to acquire. Overwatch 2, Season 10, entitled “Venture Forth” arrives tomorrow and Blizzard has fully spelled out what it will entail. The season will introduce new drill-wielding, underground burrowing hero Venture, but that’s not all. Players can look forward to the “Mirrorwatch” event, which sees several characters swap alignment from hero to villain, and vice-versa, resulting in new looks and tweaked movesets, the launch of the capture point Clash mode, big changes to how heroes are accessed (they’re all free immediately upon release now), and more. You can check out the Overwatch 2 Season 10 launch trailer, below.
Bandai Namco's new trailer for Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama's desert wasteland manga, Sand Land, committed what could possibly be the most intellectual marketing song choice of 2024 by having it accompanied by the iconic 2001 dance hit, Darude's Sandstorm. While folks rightfully lost their minds at the trailer's apropos song choice, eagle-eyed Dragon Ball Z fans spotted a clue toward a Dragon Ball Z crossover.
