Overwatch 2 Season 10 Drops Tomorrow, Bringing Venture, Clash Mode, Alignment-Swap Event

An Overwatch 2 fan has spotted a bizarre bug when their Doomfist Gold Gun changes color when coming into contact with a Jade Gun. Jade weapons were added to Overwatch 2 in Season 9, and this bug may be an easy way for players to access them.

Ubisoft’s crossover Call-of-Duty-esque multiplayer shooter XDefiant has been in various forms of testing for over a year and delayed multiple times, but it seems the game is finally launching for real this month. XDefiant will be a free-to-play live-service game with regular updates, but it will launch with a variety of “preseason” content, including five factions, 14 maps, and multiple modes. Bethesda has revealed what’s coming in the Starfield May update, with new detailed maps, ship customisation, difficulty modes and higher Xbox Series X performance modes. The update is out now in Steam Beta on PC, with the general release coming on 15th May.

Respawn Entertainment has removed Valkyrie from the roster of playable characters in the Three Strikes LTM playlist in Apex Legends due to a bug. While this news will likely disappoint fans of the character, this should help create a more enjoyable gaming experience in the Apex Legends LTM, as this recent bug has caused many players to die while playing the mode.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and Warzone recently dropped their Season 3 update, which introduced a half-dozen MP maps, brought back Rebirth Island, let you play as Cheech and Chong (yes, really) and more. Of course, as usual, Activision is rolling out even more content, with Season 3 Reloaded coming in early May. Prior to release, all indications were that Stellar Blade would be an unusually technically polished current-gen launch, with the game’s demo leaving many impressed. But, of course, demos aren’t always indicative of the final game, with devs sometimes taking a thin slice of gameplay and give it more polish than the rest of the game. The Clash game mode is just one of the new features to come to Overwatch 2 with Season 10, though the arrival of the Hanaoka map for this mode coincides with the temporary removal of the classic map Hanamura due to an issue that wrecked the level's geometry and made it completely unplayable. Although Hanamura doesn't appear in regular Quick Play or Competitive playlists, along with all other Overwatch 2 maps that are part of the old Assault game mode, these levels have nonetheless existed in the game since launch and are accessible via either the Arcade game mode or through custom games.

The new Urban Assault Collection Event has been revealed for Apex Legends, promising players a plethora of new content to enjoy and items to unlock. Respawn Entertainment officially unveiled the new Apex Legends event, showing off the return of a popular limited-time game mode and the grand reveal of a new tournament mode for players to test their skills called Apex Rumble. Players will compete against each other in an attempt to climb the leaderboards and snag exclusive cosmetics and items.

Fortnite is bringing back the Janky skin for a sixth appearance in the Item Shop after nearly 850 days of it being locked away in the vault. Over the years, Fortnite has released thousands of cosmetic items. With the launch of new game modes, such as Rocket Racing, LEGO Fortnite, and Fortnite Festival, different types of cosmetics started to appear in the Item Shop. So, as if the increasing number of Battle Royale items wasn't enough, it continued to grow in size with all these additions as well.
