Despite being a very good game, Granblue Fantasy: Relink got a bit lost in what was a chaotic release schedule earlier this year — but developer Cygames will be hoping that the action RPG's first big update will get people's attention. Launching on the 26th April (that's tomorrow at the time of writing), patch 1.2.0 adds a bunch of new stuff to the game.
Seofon and Tweyen are the headline act; two new, playable characters complete with their own fighting styles, skills, and weapons. Two new quests are also on the agenda, and loads of new sigils — stat-boosting items — are being added. Not bad for a free update.
Meanwhile, the game's next patch, version 1.3.0, is still set for release in May. It'll add another new character named Sandalphon.

im waiting for a sale to grab this one, mostly bc i wont have much time on the first 6 months of this year, im only finding time to slowly work my way through FF7 Rebirth, but im glad to see those updates, the demo was amazing and my friends really enjoyed, im hyped to finally played with a lot of extra content when i finally get this one lol
I actually jumped back into this a few days ago after finally rolling the credits on Rebirth (yeah, I know, I’m a slow player!), and got to say I’m having a blast with this again.
Just clearing up some of the post game missions etc, so anything new on top of that is very welcome!
Would still like to see some kind of daily or weekly challenges / rewards (they kind of have that with the vouchers but they’re only for use with online play), think they’d really lend themselves to this one.
Good timing I've been listening to this game's unbelievably wonderful soundtrack. I beat the post game super boss once before putting Relink down. I'm still tossed up about whether I'll be tackling these updates as they come or waiting until it's all out and give the main story a full replay on the hardest difficulty.
