Mortal Kombat 1 gets crossplay next week

Warner Bros has decided to make Mortal Kombat 1 free-to-play for this weekend, from today to 10th March, along with providing a sweet 40% discount on Steam.

Atlus has announced the Persona 3 Reload: Expansion Pass, which includes three DLC packs starting with a bundle of new music releasing next week on March 12.

NetherRealm Studios has released a new Mortal Kombat 1 video featuring actor and wrestler as he discusses his DLC character, Peacemaker. The character is now available to purchase for anyone who didn’t already have him through the game‘s Season Pass.

Mortal Kombat 1 is having a big day today. The grisly fighting game is not only kicking off Season 4: The Huntress, it's also adding a new playable character and crossplay — sorry, krossplay — functionality, opening up the community across all platforms.

Like previous entries in the series, Mortal Kombat 1 is rolling out plenty of DLC fighters, with the game’s first “Kombat Pack” including Omni-Man from Invincible, Quan Chi, Peacemaker from Suicide Squad, Ermac, Homelander from The Boys, and Takahashi Takeda.

A new trailer announces rather blandly that players must battle an army of Ultra Mileenas. Yes, that’s really it, though the cameos from past versions of Mileena in the art are cool. While he was once a relatively obscure DC Comics antihero, Peacemaker (real name Christopher Smith) has garnered mainstream attention over the past few years thanks to WWE star John Cena’s performance in DC Extended Universe projects like The Suicide Squad and the Peacemaker series on Max. This has led to Peacemaker being included as a DLC guest fighter in Mortal Kombat 1 alongside the previously released Omni-Man and the upcoming Homelander.
