The map of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is packed with secrets and items to find outside iof your main objective of rescuing the prince. Among the most exciting upgrades you can find while exploring the various nooks and crannies are amulets. These trinkets give you different buffs to Sargon, ranging from passive ones like more HP to active abilities for combat. There are over 30 of these in the game, so there had to be some limitation on them or you would get way too overpowered. That’s where the amulet holders come into play. Each amulet costs a certain number of slots to equip, and you only start with three. If you want to equip more and better amulets, you will need to get more slots.

The giant boar Erlik is a boss you can defeat in both their living and undead forms in , but each is faced with very different circumstances. You first encounter this beast as a mandatory obstacle in the way of your main story quest. However, continuing to explore Mount Qaf will reveal an opportunity to face Erlik again, only this time as an optional opponent.

As is the case with Metroidvanias, you’ll be exploring the world map, backtracking and opening up new routes in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown — and fast travel helps keep the action fresh by avoiding well-trodden ground.

Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown is made up of three key pillars – combat, exploration, and puzzle-solving. Sure, most of your time will be running around looking for loot and fighting the undead, but from time to time, you will be asked to use the ‘ol noggin to solve a tricky brain teaser. 

The Sword of Chaos is a powerful greatsword that you can get in by defeating one of the strongest servants of Bhaal in the game. This Very Rare magic item can cleave through your enemies and recover some of your Hit Points when you hit hostile creatures. Although there are limitations to which characters can use this weapon, the Sword of Chaos is an excellent weapon.

One of the most important features in is the rare structures that allow you to fast travel between locations, but this system can be tricky to unlock. Unless you are directly looking for fast travel points, they are very easy to miss as you explore. However, there is a clue you can learn about the time curse of Mount Qaf that lets you find these anchor points on your map.

The Bhaalist Armor is a rare gear in , but only if your character follows a dark path. This magic Light Armor comes with two strong abilities that could be incredibly useful in tough battles throughout your journey. Not everyone can don this symbol of dedication to the god of murder if their faith in taboo deeds wavers even a little.

Thrumbo, an oddly-named zombie, can be either friend or foe to the party. In order to meet him, they'll first have to get through Wyrm's Rock Fortress and into the Lower City of Baldur's Gate. Once inside, they may spy the majesty of Philgrave's Mansion. Knock on the door (or sneak through the hole in the back), and Mystic Carrion will offer a cold greeting. He's an undead mummy, and he operates a fine little shop with some great gear for spellcasters. But more importantly, he needs the party to find his lost thrall. In return, he promises a magic item.

does an excellent job of recreating the roleplaying experience in a video game, but one specific side quest pokes some loving fun at its inspirations. is a tool that can be used for endless creativity, but it also lends itself to certain tropes or familiar gameplay elements that recur in many campaigns.
