The Helldusk Armor Set in is a highly sought-after collection that poses significant challenges in Act 3. Three of the set's pieces are stashed away within the House of Hope, which requires a series of steps to access. Lord Gortash holds the remaining piece at Wyrm's Crossing, requiring players to strategize a blend of stealth and combat to assemble the full set.
The legendary Armor Set offers many enhancements worth utilizing. The Helmet enables Darkvision and grants Saving Throw bonuses, preventing Critical Hits. The Gloves add Fire Damage to weapon attacks, while unarmed strikes inflict Necrotic Damage and Bleeding. The armor plate provides Fire Damage resistance and grants players one of the best Cantrips in , Rays of Fire. The boots grant Hellcrawler, enabling teleportation and Fire Damage upon landing.
To enter the House of Hope in , you must first find the Devil's Fee in the Lower City. The simplest route starts from the Lower City Central Wall Waypoint; head north along the stair-like path and proceed through the gates directly ahead. Once inside, engage with Helsik at the front desk.
Explore her dialogue options until you can inquire for help sneaking you into the House of Hope. Initially, Helsik demanded a substantial fee, but players could avoid this expense by succeeding in a Persuasion or Intimidation Check, preserving a significant amount of gold.
In exchange, Helsik tasks you with stealing the Gauntlets of Hill Giant Strength from the House of Hope. You can decide later whether to honor the bargain by retrieving the gauntlets for her or keeping them for themselves, should they choose to steal them.
Upon accepting Helsik's deal, you receive a note from her detailing instructions for a ritual that allows you to descend into Avernus. Follow the stairs to the right, leading to Helsik's Room. In the center, you'll find an encircled Pentagram drawn in blood on the floor. To activate the portal, arrange the ritual items as directed in the note at the Pentagram's points, directly transporting you to the House of Hope.
After completing the ritual and teleporting to Raphael's home, players can explore their surroundings. To retrieve two of the four armor pieces, you must gain access to the Boudoir. Proceed to the Archive Room, speak to the Archivist, and succeed in a Persuasion, Deception, or Intimidation Check to obtain an invitation. This invitation is crucial, as it allows passage through a barrier blocking the Boudoir, which only breaks upon presenting the invite scroll.
