One of the most powerful Staffs for spell-casters is the Markoheshkir Legendary staff in . This staff gives the carrier a strong enchantment bonus that is perfect for companions like Gale or your Wizard character. However, to get this stuff, one of your party members needs to have the ability to see through invisibility.
You can find the Markoheshkir Legendary staff in Ramazith's Tower, the home of a powerful mage whose home is part of the Lower City within. The fastest way to reach the Tower is to go to the upstairs area of the Sorcerous Sundries shop. You will find a light blue portal that should take you to Lorroakan, the spell caster who lives within the Tower.
Once you are through the portal, avoid any conversation with Lorroakan. Instead, move towards the floating furniture to the side of the portal, which hovers between two Tower floors. Use Misty Step, Jump, or Teleport to the lower floor. If a party member can see through invisibility, use the ability or use a potion in this area. You will soon spot a hidden grate labeled «Below» on this floor.
Interacting with the pedestal next to this secret grate causes your party to be teleported to an even lower area in, with two magical items surrounded by magical barriers. One of these is the Markoheshkir staff, but it is impossible to deactivate the protective dome around it without using the invisibility effect. If the effect you used before is still lasting, you should see two levers next to each item's barrier.
The other item in the second barrier on the lowest floor of Ramazith's Tower is called the Robe of the Weave, which restores a character's hit points whenever they succeed on a Saving Throw against a spell of any kind.
One of the levers can remove the magic so that you can acquire the Markoheshkir Legendary Staff. To do this, you or a party member needs to succeed in a DC 20 Arcana skill check. However, if you have Gale as a companion in and he has a high Intelligence Ability Score, you should be able to clear the check easily. Once the barrier is turned off, you can easily walk up and collect the quarterstaff.
Markoheshkir deals bludgeoning damage as a melee weapon but acts as a +1 magic item that boosts its damage and hit chances. The Arcane Enchantment ability on this staff gives you a +1 bonus to your Spell Save DC and spell attack rolls. However, the best trait you'll find when you get Markoheshkir's legendary staff in is Arcane Battery, which makes the next spell you cast not cost a spell slot.

Balthazar, a dark priest, is one of the tougher bosses in that you can beat at two different points in the story. Balthazar can summon undead and use powerful spells that can be very dangerous for your party. However, if you decide to take the boss down, you must have a party that complements each other with the right spells and attacks.
The CEO of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has a message: Hey billionaires, give away more of your money to address inequality and do it soon. Mark Suzman made the call in his annual letter released Thursday that led with the story of Chuck Feeney, a billionaire whose philanthropy inspired Warren Buffett, Bill Gates and Melinda French-Gates. Feeney, who died in October, made a fortune through duty free stores and gave away $8 billion during his life, much of it anonymously.
We’ve played plenty of games set on a post-cataclysmic Earth, so there’s something refreshing about getting to experience one that takes place mid-apocalypse. From the creative team behind World In Conflict and The Division comes Exoborne, a game whose multiplayer action is lent a dose of chaos by extreme weather.
Saving Throws are a common defensive mechanic in . Unlike Attack Rolls, spells and moves that utilize Saving Throws technically always land, and it is up to the target to endure. Some builds might want to focus highly on their Saving Throws to prevent various ill effects.

Unlocking the secret weapon Mourning Frost in can be daunting, as the game does not provide many hints as to how you can get it. Mourning Frost is a two-handed Quarterstaff that is categorized as Very Rare. This item is one of the many well-hidden secrets in Act 1 of , which also includes a mysterious tome called The Necromancy of Thay and access to a hidden underground area in the Blighted Village.
The best upgrades you can get in help enhance many of Sargon's items and weapons to deal with the first big challenges faced on Mount Qaf. A particular improvement may change a difficult boss fight into a much easier encounter. Since many upgrades are very cheap toward the start of the game, you may have a hard time choosing one.
Microsoft’s second (hopefully annual?) Xbox Developer Direct went, like the first, exceptionally well. While we didn’t get a shadow-dropped killer exclusive – and let’s be honest, that’s not an expectation that Team Xbox probably wants to set – we did still get the surprise of a behind-the-scenes look at Square Enix’s upcoming Visions of Mana. Better yet, we got a good look at gameplay from Obsidian’s upcoming first-person RPG Avowed, we got the Hellblade 2 release date we’ve been waiting for, and best of all, we got the proper reveal of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, the new first-person (!) action/adventure/puzzler/whip-simulator that’s being executive produced by Elder Scrolls and Fallout director Todd Howard. I’m extremely pleased with Microsoft’s showing, and it helps set the tone for what should be a very good year of Xbox exclusives.
With almost half of the world's population heading to the polls in a national election in 2024, leaders at the World Economic Forum are grappling with how the arrival of ChatGPT will affect these democracies — and how governments will in turn regulate AI. Leaders in artificial intelligence including OpenAI's Sam Altman and Microsoft Corp. founder Bill Gates weighed in this week at Davos, the gilded annual conference where billionaires hold forth on global problems. While all said they took the threat of artificial intelligence on elections seriously, there was a split in whether they thought major disruption was likely.Microsoft Corp. Chief Executive Officer Satya Nadella somewhat downplayed the risks. “It's not like this is the first election where disinformation, or misinformation, and election interference is going to be a real challenge that we all have to tackle,” he said, speaking at Bloomberg House at Davos on Tuesday.
Back in 2024 Microsoft and Bethesda announced a new Indiana Jones game was coming our way courtesy of producer Todd Howard and Wolfenstein developer MachineGames, but since then, very little else has been revealed. Rumors that the game may be launching this year have been making the rounds, but it’s been radio silence from Microsoft and Bethesda themselves.
You might not realize it, but the character of Indiana Jones has quite a history in the video game space. When his movies were some of the toasts of Hollywood, Lucasfilm made various games about the character that took him all over the world and looked for all sorts of artifacts. But it’s been some time since that experience was felt in the gaming space, and the last two movies starring him haven’t helped matters. However, over at Bethesda, Todd Howard had a vision, which has been revealed as Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, headed up by Machine Games.
