Baldur's Gate 3 is getting cross-platform official mod support this year, Larian Studios confirmed.

Larian Studios' director of publishing Michael Douse has taken to Twitter / X to announce that a «cross-platform plan for mod support» is in the works for Baldur's Gate 3, and is set to be released this year. 

While the majority of your success lies in which weapons and armor you carry when facing off against the Terminids and Automatons on various missions in Helldivers 2, you shouldn’t overlook what your ship can do to support you. Besides just naming your destroyer, there’s far more you can do to customize it with modules. Whereas weapons and Boosters will impact you and your squad on a more constant basis, ship modules come in clutch when you need to bring out the big guns, aka Stratagems. These power weapons are already enough to turn the tide of a tough fight, but when you add in the right ship modules, you’ll be cooking bugs for breakfast.

Cheat codes have somewhat become a thing of the past in modern gaming, with mods coming in to take their place. Since Baldur’s Gate 3’s launch in August 2023, the community has banded together to create mods ranging from race and class additions to small quality-of-life improvements between official patches. While modding is not officially supported, Larian Studios has openly encouraged the modding community and has been working on introducing support for some time. As of today, an official statement in the Larian Studios Discord revealed the future of modding for Baldur’s Gate 3, detailing that it will come in the game’s next big patch.

If there’s one thing many of us know about Skyrim, it’s that the NPCs are not the brightest around. Enemy AI is usually pretty easy to manipulate, but this one modder decided that better NPC reactions make for a better experience.
