A teenager recently uncovered a rare LEGO octopus minifigure that was lost for the past 27 years. In 1997, a cargo ship containing thousands of LEGO pieces was caught in a storm 20 miles off Land’s End, Cornwall. This resulted in nearly five million LEGO pieces falling into the sea, with many of them being related to pirate or ocean exploration-based sets of the time.

Fans finally have their first look at Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’sCal Kestis as a LEGO Star Wars minifigure. By sheer coincidence, today marks exactly 11 years since BioShock Infinite was released. It was by all accounts a masterpiece – a worthy follow-up to 2007's landmark narrative-driven first-person shooter BioShock. But after two excellent DLC episodes were released, creative director Ken Levine resigned and parent company Take-Two closed Irrational Games. Levine started a new, smaller studio for Take-Two called Campfire Games, later renamed to Ghost Story Games. And then everything went quiet, with Levine rarely speaking publicly outside of a GDC talk about "narrative LEGOs" in 2014.

LEGO Fortnite is getting updated with version 29.10, which has been named Mechanical Mayhem. This new update is bringing vehicles to the game, including three free vehicle builds. Those are the Speeder, the Offroader, and the Hauler. Players will also be able to build their own customised vehicles, and there will be new toys too such as wheels, seats and power centers. A new item called the Compost Bin is being added, which will allow resources to be recycled to create Biomass, Fertilizer, or Soil. Biomass will need to be used to create Power Cells.

Dungeons & Dragons turns 50 this year, and more and more crossovers are being announced to mark the occasion. We already know the iconic roleplaying game will get its first Lego set next month, and now we know D&D will be crossing over with Converse too. Now we know exactly what the first collaboration between the two massive brands is going to look like. Lego has revealed its Red Dragon's Tale set, and there's not long to wait until you can center your very own game night around it, particularly if you're a Lego Insider.

LEGO has officially revealed an upcoming set for the 50th anniversary of the tabletop RPG, and it packs a lot of iconic elements into one design. The origins of the model come from a LEGO Ideas contest held in 2022, which picked one fan design as the winner to be produced as an actual set. Although the concept has undergone some revisions by official LEGO designers, the overall size, structure, and ideas of the contest winner all make it into the final product.

Following a number of rumors and an eventual leak, Lego has revealed its first collaboration with Dungeons & Dragons: a new set inspired by the classic tabletop game, just in time for its 50th anniversary. An incredibly creative fan of Remedy Entertainment's Alan Wake 2 has made a LEGO version of the game's highly memorable We Sing musical sequence. Having been released in October 2023, Alan Wake 2 was able to stand out in a year filled with incredible gaming experiences.
