First, it was released accidentally, and although Sony took it back down pretty quickly, it wasn't fast enough to stop a few people playing and sharing footage online. So, we knew a demo was coming, and it wasn't much later that we got official confirmation. Now, the time has come: it's available to download and play right now on PS5. Square Enix has released a four-party documentary series for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth titled “Inside Final Fantasy VII Rebirth,” which uncovers the stories behind the making of the RPG through the eyes of the development team.

LEVEL-5 has opened pre-orders for the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 versions of Megaton Musashi W: Wired via PlayStation Store, the company announced. Pre-orders for the Switch version will begin on April 11. The PC (Steam) version will not be available for pre-order, but the pre-order bonus can still be obtained by purchasing the game before May 31.

Publisher Bandai Namco and developer ILCA have released a demo for SAND LAND for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam. While save data from the demo will not transfer to the full game, playing the demo will unlock bonus items.

BeXide has released fruit-stacking puzzle game Fruit Mountain for PC via Steam for $8.99. It is available at a 10 percent-off launch discount price of $8.09 until March 31. The PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Switch versions will follow later in 2024.

miHoYo has announced the third closed beta test for urban fantasy action RPG Zenless Zone Zero, also known as the “Amplifying Test.” It will run across PC, iOS, and Android. Sign-ups are available now at the game’s official website. Start and end dates for the test will be announced at a later time.

The solo dev behind the indie poker roguelike Balatro is disappointed over how games with "actual gambling mechanics" are given age ratings, after seeing their own game's rating skyrocket due to gambling-related concerns. This came despite the fact that Balatro doesn't actually feature gambling, and the developer is strictly against it.

The console wars are a tale as old as time—or at least as old as the point when games consoles from multiple companies came onto the market. In some very exciting news, Apple's new mixed reality headset, Vision Pro was used to perform surgery at the Cromwell Hospital in the UK. The doctor utilized the VR headset to provide navigation throughout the spine surgery of a male patient. The Apple Vision Pro headset helped to adhere to the right surgical process and use the perfect tools for the job to perform the surgery successfully.
