LEGO Creative islands are different from the standard LEGO game mode, so they could be a nice change of pace if you’re busy building LEGO Rocket Ships and flying hot air balloons. There are two main ways to play these new LEGO islands: searching for them via Discovery tab and using Island Codes.
To open Discovery tab, simply click the search icon at the top left of your lobby screen. This opens a search page where you can browse all of the custom experiences created by other players. The search page has options, allowing you to search for specific game modes, such as prop hunts, roleplaying experiences, and racing games. Unfortunately, LEGO doesn’t have its own category, so you’ll have to just input “LEGO” in the search bar.
Your search should return a few dozen LEGO-based experiences, some made by other players and others made by and LEGO’s own developers. This includes Obby Fun and Raft Survival as mentioned above. Just select the game mode you want to play, and will place you back in the main lobby where you can choose whether you want a public or private game session.
As these game modes are based on LEGO, any character Outfits such as those included in the latest Crew Pack will appear in LEGO minifigure form if they have one.
From here, just click Play and you can jump into any LEGO Creative islands, either on your own or with friends. If you prefer, you can also scroll down on the Play tab to find modes, but it can be a bit difficult to sort through all the modes listed.
All custom experiences in have their own Island Codes: a short sequence of numbers that you can use to find them immediately. These are particularly good if you want to share relatively unknown game modes with friends. To use them, just enter the Island Codes into the search bar. For example, LEGO Obby Fun and Raft Survival both have Island Codes:
