Fortnite has vaulted all of Chapter 5, Season 2's Mythicals until May 3, which means you won't be able to use the Wings of Icarus, Thunderbolt of Zeus, and Chains of Hades for nearly a whole month.
Although Chapter 5, Season 2 of Fortnite is nowhere near as exciting as Season 1 (which introduced Peter Griffin, Solid Snake, Lego Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival among many other things), it does at least have an awesome theme that has introduced some of the best Mythicals in the game.
Those Mythicals include a powerful thunderbolt that calls back to the Kamehameha Mythical, a great new melee weapon themed around Hades, and, most exciting of all, the Wings of Icarus that let you fly around the map and open up Fortnite like never before. Well, I hope you weren't too attached to those items, as Fortnite has just vaulted them until May 3.
As pointed out by Twitter user and reliable Fortnite insider HYPEX, the Wings of Icarus, Chains of Hades, and Thunderbolt of Zeus have all just been removed from Fortnite until May 3. It's not clear why all three of them have suddenly been taken from the game all at once, but it's likely to do with the Avatar: Elements event having just gone live.
The Elements event introduces a bunch of new Mythicals to the game based on the bending abilities of the main cast, so it seems that Epic thought that having so many Mythicals in the game at one time would be a bit unbalanced. It's not been said for certain that's the case, but it does make sense with the Elements event having just gone live.
Understandably, Fortnite fans aren't very happy about the Mythicals being vaulted, especially when it comes to the Wings of Icarus, which were viewed as the stand-out feature of the season. Chapter 5, Season 2's big draw was that it would let players fly around the Island with ease, something that's not going to be possible for nearly a whole month.
Let's just hope the Avatar Mythicals are anywhere near as good as the Greek-inspired ones.

Metaphor: ReFantazio might not be a Persona game, but developer Atlus is keeping up a trend solidified by its beloved JRPG series by making its user interface absolutely gorgeous, and fans say it's a great example of why UI designers deserve to be paid generously.
Over four months after Fortnite Festival was released, Harmonix and Epic Games announced that the rhythm game now supports Rock Band 4 plastic guitar controllers.
Fortnite is bringing back the Janky skin for a sixth appearance in the Item Shop after nearly 850 days of it being locked away in the vault. Over the years, Fortnite has released thousands of cosmetic items. With the launch of new game modes, such as Rocket Racing, LEGO Fortnite, and Fortnite Festival, different types of cosmetics started to appear in the Item Shop. So, as if the increasing number of Battle Royale items wasn't enough, it continued to grow in size with all these additions as well.
A ton of love is being shown right now for the Fallout franchise. The video game IP was already cherished by so many players worldwide. But now that the franchise has had a successful live-action adaptation, you will find a bigger fan base than ever before. More people are returning to play the games as they await the following season.
Production on has officially begun, with James Gunn taking to social media to celebrate with a new photo.
Epic Games has revealed that it will be adding a new feature to the Fortnite Item Shop, allowing players to check how long a skin will be available before it's removed for rotation. There are thousands of cosmetics in Fortnite, and it's not uncommon for fans to have lists of the items that they want to return to the game. Every day, cosmetic items are brought in and out of the shop to make room for new and returning trends. However, unless Fortnite makes an announcement, it's impossible for gamers to know what's coming before the refresh.

Fortnite's big collaboration with Avatar: The Last Airbender is underway, bringing with it a series of Mythics (and some pricey skins) that will let players control the elements. Firebending, Waterbending, Airbending, and Earthbending were all added earlier today, adding various new mechanics and abilities for players to mess around with, but Earthbending appears to have already been vaulted by Epic, and the reason why isn't all that clear.
A Fortnite player has a unique idea for LEGO Backblings of all the skins that gamers have acquired over the years. The LEGO collaboration has resulted in an influx of players who may not have joined Fortnite otherwise, and this idea may bridge the gap with the Battle Royale mode.
User-generated content, or UGC, has been a continued source of discussion recently, particularly when it involves minors doing the creating and, in some cases, earning off the back of it.
The latest collaboration arrives in Fortnite as the Avatar franchise makes its debut with a new limited time event filled with quests, rewards, and new elemental bending abilities players can utilize. In recent years, Fortnite has leaned into collaboration events with other franchises and IPs, seemingly bringing a wide range of content into the already popular Battle Royale. Alongside giants like Marvel and Star Wars, Fortnite fans have seen a ton of collaborations across all types of mediums from the Nike brand, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Anime like Dragon Ball Z, and tons more.
