Billie Eilish is the next artist to take over Fortnite Festival, joining the game tomorrow. This was just confirmed by Eilish herself over on Instagram, also revealing her Fortnite skin.
While this is big news in itself, it also lends credibility to a huge Fortnite leak from last week. This leak purported to contain all of the events planned for 2024 across all Fortnite modes, with one of its claims being that Eilish would join Fortnite Festival. Now that this has been confirmed, it suggests that the rest of its leaks could be real too, including a Pirates of the Caribbean crossover.
Eilish has now confirmed this across social media, revealing that she's taking over the Fortnite Festival Main Stage on April 23, so just a day away from now. If the leak that predicted her inclusion in Fortnite is accurate, then she'll be joined by other huge artists later in the year: Metallica, Karol G and Snoop Dogg.
No further details have been revealed yet, just the date and the skin. However, it won't be a long wait at all until Billie Eilish takes to the virtual stage anyway, so players will see how it goes down soon enough.
If the rest of the details in the leak turn out to be true, then Fortnite is in for another huge year. Next month is said to be themed around Mad Max, while also featuring a crossover with Pirates of the Caribbean and the aforementioned Metallica event.
Beyond that, the apparent roadmap reveals that Lego Star Wars is coming to Lego Fortnite, and we're getting a Fantastic Four event in mid-August. That wouldn't be too surprising, given the huge $1.5 billion investment Disney made into Epic Games earlier this year.
Fortnite fans were split on the huge leak when it was first shared around online, but today's announcement has convinced many in the community. It remains to be seen if the rest of the leak comes to pass, although we won't have to wait too long to find out, with the Mad Max crossover apparently set for May.

You may be able to give those plastic Rock Band guitars you have stuffed away in the attic a new lease of life. Fortnite Festival (a Rock Band-style mode that debuted in Fortnite in December) now supports several Rock Band 4 controllers across PlayStation, Xbox and PC, as detailed in a blog post.
Fortnite Festival should feel even more like Rock Band today, as guitar controller support is finally added to the game mode. Only certain controllers are compatible, but it at least makes it possible for some of us to recreate the good ol' days of rhythm games being playable with big plastic controllers, even if not all the instruments are available right now.
