The Bad Guy herself, Billie Eilish, will be the next musical megastar to grace the Fortnite Festival mainstage, following in the footsteps of Lady Gaga and The Weeknd. Eilish revealed she will take the stage today, 23rd April, presumably with a list of free-to-player bangers.
Eilish's inclusion is incredible enough in its own right, but things get really interesting because it appears to corroborate a previously leaked roadmap for the game (thanks, VGC). If that set list is anything to go by, then expect to see the musical stylings of Metallica, Karol G, and Snoop Dogg to follow. Is there anything more metal than performing for millions in Fortnite? We'll let you decide.
What do you think of Billie Eilish's inclusion on the Fortnite Festival Main Stage? Beyond Snoop Dogg (who we will never forgive for going smokeless), what other musicians could you see getting involved next? Let us know in the comments section below.

I’m not a fan of Festival, or Lego or Rocket racing, but I’ll show up for Billie. Any chance of the Barbie song or is that way too slow for Festival?
@IndoorEnthusiast Having actual Metallica songs played on the car radios, well close enough my old age home ears couldn’t tell the difference, is one of the things I enjoy in Fortnite.

Star Wars and Fortnite have always enjoyed a fruitful partnership, but now Disney’s put its sizeable bank balance behind Epic Games, there was always the possibility of a greater collaboration. And after weeks of teasing, that’s exactly what’s been announced. Beginning from 3rd May, the eve of Star Wars Day, you can expect an epic collaboration with George Lucas’ sci-fi series which will extend to virtually all aspects of the culturally colossal video game platform.
Whether exploring the irradiated monuments of Washington D.C. in Fallout 3 or gambling away your last couple of Caps on The Strip in Fallout: New Vegas, the series' North American setting is an essential piece of the puzzle. And while players have previously been given tantalising glimpses of how the rest of Bethesda's bleak world might be faring, studio head Todd Howard says the plan is to keep the series set in the US.
There's been a lot of discussion surrounding the commercial success of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. The PS5 exclusive launched on the 29th February, but despite garnering near universal acclaim from critics, questions were quickly raised regarding sales numbers, with Square Enix yet to provide any official statistics (which usually isn't a great sign).
Star Wars returns to Fortnite on May 3, one day before the annual May 4 Star Wars celebrations.
Following the collapse of a «verbal agreement» reportedly worth $2 billion with the Saudi-funded Savvy Games, Embracer Group entered into a brutal nine-month restructuring programme that resulted in the loss of some 1,400 employees and the cancellation of dozens of unannounced games. CEO Lars Wingefors, whose actions were recently defended by Saber Interactive CEO Matthew Karch («give Lars a break»), in a new interview, says: «As a leader and an owner, sometimes you need to take the blame.»
Just yesterday, we learned that Billie Eilish would be headlining Season 3 of Fortnite Festival, the free-to-play music mode which has slowly but surely cornered the periphery market. With the update now live, there were a few welcome extra additions. For starters, guitar controller support for Harmonix's previous effort, Rock Band 4, is now available, meaning those dusty old axes can finally be put to good use.
Update: Just as we published this article, HoYoverse has announced that pre-registration for the game is available now. As is common for the developer, it'll be tracking the total number of players who sign up, and will be promising bountiful in-game rewards if it reaches its ambitious 40 million players milestone. Officially, the release date is still «2024».
Epic Games has announced that FortniteFestival season 3 will feature pop star Billie Eilish.
You may be able to give those plastic Rock Band guitars you have stuffed away in the attic a new lease of life. Fortnite Festival (a Rock Band-style mode that debuted in Fortnite in December) now supports several Rock Band 4 controllers across PlayStation, Xbox and PC, as detailed in a blog post.
Fortnite Festival should feel even more like Rock Band today, as guitar controller support is finally added to the game mode. Only certain controllers are compatible, but it at least makes it possible for some of us to recreate the good ol' days of rhythm games being playable with big plastic controllers, even if not all the instruments are available right now.
The latest Fortnite Festival update has finally added support for Rock Band 4 guitar controllers.
