Publisher PM Studios and Dodgeball Academia developer Pocket Trap have announced top-down retro platform adventure game Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo for PC (Steam). A release date was not announced.

We're not quite ready to deliver our final verdict on Dragon's Dogma 2 right now. Because of circumstances outside of our control, we still need to finish the main quest, and then check out how the game handles New Game+ — which was a staple component of the original Dragon's Dogma.

It's taken 12 years, but Dragon's Dogma 2 is finally swooping onto store shelves this week, and judging by the early review scores, the wait has been worth it. 

I just finished making my character for Dragon’s Dogma 2 thanks to the free character creator demo released ahead of the game, and I’m overjoyed at how gloriously, convincingly old I can be in this game. I feel very seen and very represented.

Cyan’s classic PC adventure game Riven: The Sequel to Myst is getting an Unreal Engine 5 remake later this year. Although Cyan’s last game experienced controversy surrounding the use of AI content, Cyan confirmed to Digital Trends that the Riven remake does not use any “AI-assisted content.”

We’re getting some really fascinating, unique indie games on PS5 at the moment – and Until Then looks like one that’s well worth keeping an eye on when it drops on 23rd May. The narrative adventure is all about high school life in the Philippines, as protagonist “Mark Borja and his friends navigate the joys and woes of another year of high school”.

Newfangled Games will unfold an innovative new experience on PS5 and PS4 from 21st May, when Paper Trail makes its home console debut. The unique puzzler sees you manipulating paper in order to navigate its watercolour world, so you may need to fold a page to create a new path for protagonist Paige to walk on, for example. The original Dragon's Dogma was Capcom's first crack at creating a grand adventure role-playing game that married elements of its high-octane action games, like Devil May Cry, within a western-style high-fantasy setting. In the years since its debut, Dragon's Dogma went from a cult favorite to an essential RPG thanks to its unique take on exploring a large fantasy world with a squad of adventurers as they engage with the many foes and emergent systems in the game.

The Unreal Engine 5 remake of Riven: The Sequel to Myst, previously known as Riven: New Discoveries From the Lost D'ni Empire but now officially just called plain-old Riven, is coming this year, original developer Cyan Worlds has announced. 

Patch 10.2.6 adds new meta achievements for some of Dragonflight's main factions. These meta-achievements reward players for completing the activities from each faction, and each rewards a new mount.

With Patch 10.2.6, a new expansion-wide meta-achievement similar to Veilstrider from Shadowlands. The reward for this achievement is the goodest boy Taivan as a mount.

Following a number of rumors and an eventual leak, Lego has revealed its first collaboration with Dungeons & Dragons: a new set inspired by the classic tabletop game, just in time for its 50th anniversary. Officially titled the Lego Ideas Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale, Lego Insiders can pre-order the $359.99 set starting April 1 exclusively from the Lego Store, while everyone else can roll for initiative beginning April 4. Pre-orders placed before April 7 will also receive a complementary Lego Dungeons & Dragons Mimic Dice Box.

About a year and a half after the Riven remake's announcement, Cyan Worlds revealed today that the game will launch later this year on PC with support for VR platforms.

It's due out in 2024 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Free League’s Blade Runner: The Roleplaying Game came out of the gate strong in 2022 with a fabulous core rulebook and a stellar starter set, both of which we’ve heaped praise on here at Polygon. And we’re not alone in our celebration of Free League’s work, which received multiple industry awards. But I think that the newest boxed set, Case File #2: Fiery Angels, might be my favorite piece yet, mainly because it makes me feel like Harrison Ford from page one.

When you reach Costa Del Sol in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you will quickly realize that Cloud and the crew aren't exactly dressed for a relaxing vacation at the beach. All that leather and black certainly won't be comfortable — and don't get us started on how much sand is going to get in those boots. Before you can even set foot on the sand to relax by the water, Cloud will need to earn some tickets to get more appropriate beachwear. The only way to earn these tickets is to participate in some team minigames, including the Card Carnival on the docks. This is a twist on the Queen's Blood card game you may have been playing throughout your adventure up until now (or perhaps you've been completely ignoring it). Either way, this game is not your typical match, with specific challenges that are more like puzzles than proper games. They can be rather tricky, so we'll help you play your cards right to beat the initial set of Card Carnival trials and earn that swimsuit.

Yuffie Kisaragi is the fiery engine behind the main cast in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Whether it’s sprinting off alone to search for her beloved materia or attempting high-profile assassination in front of the entire world, she simply cannot be deterred. The warrior from Wutai previously appeared as an optional character in the original version of the game. Now, she’s included as part of the main story from pretty early on, and her addition is one of my favorite ways that Rebirth alters the story from the original game.

Dragon's Dogma 2's enormous open world might be several times larger than its predecessor's, but according to its director and producer, we shouldn't feel the need to skip through it as fast as possible. 

Digimon turns 25 this year and a lengthy stream from its creators over the weekend revealed some of what's planned to mark the occasion. Unfortunately, there wasn't much to write home about.
