Riven Unreal Engine 5 Remake to Launch This Year on PC with VR Support

Earlier this year, ZeniMax revealed Elder Scrolls Online had registered over 24 million accounts since its launch. The game is also closing in on $2 billion in customer spending. It was nominated for a BAFTA award last year, and the studio says it is the largest cross-platform RPG on consoles.

Cambridge-based developer PlayFusion (previously known for the Trading Card Game Lightseekers) is launching the PC beta for Ascendant, a squad-based tactical first-person shooter game, and we've got 2K keys to give away thanks to a special URL provided by the developer.

Ubisoft Forward is returning on June 10, live from Los Angeles, the publisher announced today on Twitter. This is Ubisoft's premiere event to show updates, upcoming releases of announced games, and brand-new unannounced projects. Once, it was part of the various Electronic Entertainment Expo conferences. However, with E3 now effectively dead, it has become part of its soft replacement: Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest, which starts on June 7 this year. There's no word yet on which games will be shown at Ubisoft Forward, but we can certainly speculate based on the publisher's known lineup.

The remake of Star Wars KOTOR (Knights of the Old Republic) is alive and well. That's the promise made to the countless fans of the game by Saber Interactive CEO Matthew Karch, speaking to IGN. The executive also said the studio is 'dedicated to making sure consumer expectations are exceeded', which likely hints at several years of development still needed. Indeed, Embracer Group CEO Lars Wingefors recently admitted the game needed more than a year of production.

RTGI, not to be confused with NVIDIA's RTXGI SDK which was recently updated to version 2.0, is Pascal Gilcher's famous ReShade screen space ray tracing shader. The German graphics modder and former NVIDIA employee rose to fame when he released it in May 2019, providing PC gamers with an easy way to improve the lighting of older games at an acceptable performance cost.

Publisher PLAION (formerly Koch Media/Deep Silver) and developer Dambuster Studios have announced the release date for the second Dead Island 2 expansion. Titled SoLA, it will be available on PC via Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X on April 17. Five days later, the whole game will also launch on Steam after the year of exclusivity on the Epic Games Store.

Norwegian developer Red Thread Games (Dreamfall Chapters, Draugen) and publisher Quantic Dream have unveiled the release date of Dustborn during the Future Games Show - Spring Edition.
