Months after its initial release, Bandai Namco seems hellbent on squeezing as much money as it possibly can from Tekken 8. In Dragon's Dogma 2, you can get an incredibly powerful weapon called the Unmaking Arrow which is "said to kill [whatever it hits] instantly." However, once you've fired it from your bow, the game automatically saves and removes it from your inventory forever. As DD2 only has one save file, that means you don't get another shot. Miss or waste the arrow and you're out of luck.

After beating the final boss in , there is still plenty to do in the post-game. Aside from new dresses and ribbons available for purchase, players can customize the Sparkle Theater itself with elaborate decorations. Previous Darkle bosses can be rematched with new challenges to complete for Sparkle Gems, new pictures for the Photo Album can be collected, and hidden Ninja Theets located in every standard level.

Plenty of big, AAA releases have problems at launch. Overwatch 2, Payday 3, and Redfall all launched to criticism from both reviewers and fans. It's far rarer to see a AAA game's community genuinely divided over whether or not a game is fantastic and groundbreaking, or an utter disaster at launch. But weirdly, that's what's happening with Dragon's Dogma 2.

Helldivers 2 just got two new heavy weapons for democratic soldiers to bring to the ongoing fight against the Automatons, spurred by a new Major Order to liberate Troost and head off the bots' "Reclamation." The LAS-99 Quasar Cannon and MG-206 Heavy Machine Gun are now available "for immediate battlefield distribution," as developer Arrowhead Game Studios announced via Twitter today.

The constant battle to spread Managed Democracy in Helldivers 2 can be hard to keep up with at times. While the ever-evolving fight and story is a huge part of what makes Arrowhead's third-person shooter so damn good, I'm sure many of us would be hard-pressed to recall exactly what happened on each planet every day. 

It is no secret that Square Enix's Mana series has impacted the JRPG genre immensely since it debuted in 1991. It's a franchise rich with deep stories and memorable combat that has stood the test of time. Despite the last mainline game releasing 18 years ago, fanfare has yet to die down, as seen with the success of the 2020 remake of Trials of Mana. The question is, can a brand new Mana game replicate the same success as a remake? If this two-hour hands-on preview is any indication of the rest of the game, then Visions of Mana's fresh take on battle and class systems not only gives it the potential to meet the success of the originals but possibly even the chance to surpass them.

Here’s an odd one: the developer of Helldivers 2 has warned players against having snowball fights because they’re causing the game to crash.

Dragon's Dogma 2 can be an absolutely brutal game when it wants to be, but one of the most punishing features has to be Dragonsplague. It's a sickness that can affect your Pawns, eventually turning them into disobedient little nuisances that can eventually go on to wipe out entire villages if left long enough. Players have resorted to extreme methods to avoid the spread, including throwing their Pawns into the ocean if they sense a whiff of disobedience.

Despite Helldivers 2 players being encouraged to move away from their enthusiastic bug-squashing in favor of some brutal bot-smashing, there are still a surprising amount of Helldivers not joining in on the latest Major Order, which isn't very democratic of them.

Earlier this month, the world lost a one-of-a-kind creative talent with the news of Akira Toriyama’s passing. While Dragon Ball will always be Toriyama-sensei’s best-known work, he leaves behind a legacy full of many other imaginative worlds across games, anime, and manga. Before leaving us, he worked with Bandai Namco to flesh out one of his short manga creations further: Sand Land. Alongside a new anime series, Toriyama-sensei gave input on a videogame adaptation of Sand Land that would allow players to explore this unique world for themselves.

Director and producer Naoki 'Yoshi-P' Yoshida has revealed that Final Fantasy 14's original Titan fight caused 300,000 players to abandon the MMO.

It finally happened – Jennifer English, Shadowheart's actor in Baldur's Gate 3, has reached the iconic fight scene between her high half-elf and the Githyanki warrior Lae'zel, which she and her real-life partner have hailed as "the most sapphic scene" in the game. 

Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game tasks you with categorizing a pool of 16 words into four secret (for now) groups by figuring out how the words relate to each other. The puzzle resets every night at midnight and each new puzzle has a varying degree of difficulty. Just like Wordle, you can keep track of your winning streak and compare your scores with friends.

Dragon's Dogma 2 will have you doing a lot of walking, and I mean a lot. It's part of the game's satisfying gameplay loop, having you trek across vast swathes of wilderness, fighting off everything from little goblins to enormous griffins. Despite that, there are some moments in which you just can't be bothered to walk somewhere, especially if it's on the other side of the map, so some players have taken to catching a ride on the Sphinx for easier travel.

V Rising confirmed it would reach 1.0 on May 8th just a couple of weeks ago, delivering changes to the survival action RPG's PvP and endgame.

If you follow video games, you probably know what a “Soulslike” is at this point. The term, used to describe action RPGs that draw heavy inspiration from punishing titles like Dark Souls, has spawned a popular subgenre whose influence can be seen in games big and small. Now, we may be getting a new mutation of that genre thanks toFlintlock: The Siege of Dawn.

One of the key missions to help prove you’re the true Arisen in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is to figure out the real identity of the false Sovran. While it might be a premonition from the future and it looks good on a surface level, there is a lack of polish and depth here that undercuts the game’s better qualities.

Madame Grape is the last boss of , the final obstacle preventing the theater's restoration. Unlocking her fight will require completing multiple floors of levels, as well as accumulating a few dozen Sparkle Gems. As a reward for this effort, Peach gets one more transformation exclusive to the ultimate boss fight.

Recently, Blizzard has confirmed that the new Uber Boss Andariel will be an alternative to fighting Duriel for the coveted Uber Unique items such as The Grandfather.

The fastest way to get Renown in Plunderstorm is to kill other players, and win. But what if you're like me: A big scaredy cat who's terrible at PVP? I maxed out my Keg Leg's Crew Renown days after Plunderstorm was released without winning once. More importantly, I enjoyed myself while I did it. So here are some of the best strategies to earn Renown even if you can't survive most fights to save, well, your life. On average, I make 400-800 Renown a match. Sometimes if I'm lucky, I make over 1000. On more than one occasion, I've even reached level 9 and made over 1000 Renown — once even making it all the way to second place — without defeating another player in the entire match. Obviously this is nowhere close to the 3000+ Renown you can make from winning a match, but if you don't enjoy, or aren't good at, PVP, that doesn't mean you have to slowly chip away at 40 levels a tiny bit at a time.

Riot Games has revealed Clove, the next agent that will come to Valorant as part of Episode 8, Act II.
