Hollow Knight fans parched for more Silksong news are no strangers to disappointment when it comes to the big trailerthon showcases, but this week's Triple-I Initiative stung extra hard.

Embattled developer Bungie will showcase The Final Shape, Destiny 2's latest, last, and perhaps most important expansion, next Tuesday, providing an update on the in-development project. The Final Shape was originally supposed to launch in February 2024 but was hit with a delay alongside last year's layoffs.

New week, new PC games! It's another mercifully brief four day week in the UK due to reasons of religion, so let's roll with an appropriately snappy intro that avoids any extended digressionary preambles about, oh, I don't know, magpies fighting outside my flat this morning. Sony first-party developer Bend Studios is staffing up for another «AAA live service» game, and it seems that PlayStation will continue to chase the live service dragon. Helldivers 2 players are now fully committed to the assault on the Automaton homeworlds in a preemptive campaign of «defensive annihilation».
