Two new upscaling modifications have been released for Fallout 4 and Baldur's Gate 3 - PureDark's Fallout 4 and BG3 FSR 3.0 mods.
Most of you who are into modding will know 'PureDark' for his popular DLSS3 mods for popular games such as the recently released Dragon's Dogma 2, Elden Ring, and various other titles. Interestingly, the modder has already released DLSS3 mods for Baldur's Gate 3 and Fallout 4, but we now also have AMD FSR 3.0 mods for these titles. Some of the DLSS3 mods from the modder have been made available for free, but unfortunately, these new AMD FSR 3.0 mods for Fallout 4 and BG3 are behind a paywall. As such, in order to download and use these mods, you'll need to become a Patreon member. We've included a video of the BG3 FSR 3.0 mod in action below.
According to the modder, fixes for HUD ghosting are included with these mods.
Baldur's Gate 3 and Fallout 4 are available globally now for PC and consoles. Of course, these mods are only available for the PC version. Here's what we wrote about Larian's BG3 in our launch review from last year:
"Players have to experience how the game not only gives players so many options to solve the problems presented to them. Oftentimes, all of the options are valid, but some of them may come with heavy consequences. Another highlight is how the world itself reacts to your choices. As I headed towards a goblin camp, for example, I had the option of attempting to sneak in, or try to reason with the creatures, hoping to put the intimidation a Berserker exudes to my advantage. I opted to sneak into the camp and was eventually forced to fight the goblins, but the other option would have been fine if I didn't want to fight and wanted to go for a more peaceful approach. The game is filled with similar situations, turning everything up to eleven in later Acts to allow players to come up with their own answers to the many questions the game puts in front of them. Act 1 is truly only a small appetizer compared to the following Acts."
