Nixxes and Guerrilla Games have rolled out Horizon Forbidden West PC patch 1.1, packing stability improvements, bug fixes, and more.
Today's 1.1 update contains several fixes and optimizations. In addition, the patch allows PC players to properly remap the TAB key. Also, the update includes HUD widescreen scale options alongside fixes for graphic corruption on waterfalls with DLSS frame generation. Another nice addition included with this patch is the option to preview changes made in HDR settings. The full release notes for this new update can be found here.
Horizon Forbidden West on PC launches with support for AMD FSR 2.2, but developer Nixxes has now also confirmed that the team is working on adding support for AMD FSR 3. "We're working on it!", Nixxes wrote on X when asked about AMD FSR 3 support.
Horizon Forbidden West is available worldwide now for PC, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. Here's what we wrote about the PC port last month:
"Thankfully, Horizon Forbidden West is another solid example of a PC port from the experienced studio based in Utrecht. As we're used to from previous Sony ports, almost the entire breadth of features is available here: Ultrawide support (21:9 and 32:9), NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution and Frame Generation, NVIDIA Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing, NVIDIA Reflex, AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution, Microsoft DirectStorage, not to mention full support for the DualSense controller's haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and built-in speaker.
The High Dynamic Range implementation is good, too, although the main slider to set your display's Max Luminance currently doesn't work. However, the sliders for Paper White, Shadow Boost and Highlight Boost work just fine, and they're way more than what HDR users can find in the average PC game when it comes to tweaking their HDR experience."

A new update patch has just been released for the PC version of Horizon Forbidden West that corrects some problems players have been having with the Nvidia Reflex On+Boost feature, among other things. The second Horizon game launched on PlayStation consoles back in 2022, earning mainly positive reviews for its stunning visuals and impressive vocal performances, even if some found the story to be lacking. Last month, Horizon Forbidden West became one of the latest Sony-published titles to make the jump to PC courtesy of Nixxes Software, the developer behind ports like Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart and the upcoming Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut.
Nestled within a seemingly ho-hum patch for Horizon Forbidden West’s PC edition is a change I’ve been crossing fingers and ritualistically sacrificing metal dinosaurs for since release. At last I can behold those glorious words: "Resolved performance regression when enabling Nvidia Reflex On+Boost." Finally!

has mountable machines that weren't available in, a selection also expanded by its DLC. Machines offer one of the most novel elements of the series, blending nature and technology into animal-like creations. All machines encountered in the wild will attack Aloy if given the chance, but many can be overridden and made to fight on her side. Even better are the ones that Aloy can ride after overriding, allowing her to better traverse the map with advancements in speed or even flight.
