Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Volume 1 is now available to buy, on PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, Nintendo eShop, and Steam.

The gaming age we live in has various “tropes” that can’t be avoided no matter how hard gamers try. One of them is that the franchises of the past that have done well but are slightly older will inevitably get “collections” to bring games together in one place for people to enjoy on modern consoles. The Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol.1 is the next in that line, and on the surface, it’s easy to see why that is. The collection brings together many of the earliest entries in the Solid Snake saga and allows people to view it with fresh eyes.

Konami’s beloved franchise Metal Gear Solid is making a comeback with Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 which is set to release on 24th October globally. A recent tweet from the official Metal Gear Solid account has revealed further details about the regional timings for the game.

Hotline Miami and Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number are now available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, publisher Devolver Digital and developer Dennaton Games announced.

Konami has announced that Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 will have a number of issues on launch. The company has stated that these issues will be fixed with post launch updates.

Streamers and reviewers have revealed that Hideo Kojima’s name does not appear in the new credits for Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Volume 1.

When discussing his inspiration for the original 1987 Metal Gear game, series creator Hideo Kojima has often referred to the limitations of the MSX2 system it was designed for. With hard limits on the amount of sprites the machine could show on screen and limited support for scrolling graphics, the designer decided to make a game that eschewed all-out combat in favor of the stealth gameplay that would go on to define the Metal Gear franchise.

With the launch of Season 2, Season of Blood, Diablo 4 will be running another Twitch Drop campaign. This specific campaign takes place over four weeks and will reward viewers with various Oricalchum cosmetics. Each week a separate cosmetic is obtainable, with viewers having to watch four hours total of anyone in the Diablo 4 category on Twitch in order to obtain the drop.

Head on over to the PlayStation Store today and you may notice that Atlus has just released something called 'The Persona Collection'. It's a digital bundle that includes Persona 5 Royal, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 3 Portable. It's priced at $89.99 / £72.99, which is obviously less than what you'd pay if you bought the three titles separately (when they're not discounted, at least).

Whispergames and Onion Soup Interactive have announced that the long-anticipated microgame masher Super 56 is finished cooking and is out the door. It’s available on PC starting today.

Strictly Limited Games and ININ have announced Irem Collection Volume 3. It’s set for Q2 2024 on Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox, which gives time for the first two collections to actually be released.

ININ Games, Tozai Games, and irem have announced irem Collection Volume 3 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch. It will launch digitally in Q2 2024. Physical edition pre-orders will open on October 12 via exclusively via Strictly Limited Games.

The Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 is slated to launch on PS5 on 24th October. A PS4 iteration was also announced but without a specific release date. We now know it'll launch day and date with the PS5 version. While the PS5 iteration will be available both physically and digitally, The Master Collection will only be available digitally on PS4.

In sad news for stealth fans, it seems like Snake's inaugural mission through Shadow Moses will move slower than expected. Publisher Konami has revealed that Metal Gear Solid, alone amongst the treasured trilogy bundled in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1, will remain locked at 30 frames-per-second.

Konami has unveiled new information about the expected resolution and framerates of the three games in its upcoming Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1. But fans aren't happy with what they're seeing, particularly regarding Metal Gear Solid being locked to 30fps across all consoles.

Hideo Kojima isn't shy about his love for movies. The creator behind games like Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding even wanted to make movies before becoming a game developer, and his games often pay homage to some of his favorites. Even Snake, the main character of the Metal Gear Franchise, is named after Escape from New York's protagonist, Snake Plissken. He famously goes out of his way to inject cinematic sensibilities into his works and loves working with big-name actors. The man just loves movies.

This collection of 10 retro Mega Man games is a Mega-blast from the Mega Man past.

PDP revealed a collection of very special Nintendo Switch controllers last month. Its Realmz collection. Each Realmz controller has an iconic video game character trapped inside. The Sonic and Tails controllers were the first ones put up for pre-order, Pikmin versions will be available later this year, and while they haven't been shown off yet, PDP has also teamed up with Transformers to presumably put Optimus Prime in one of its Relamz controllers too.

Sony has revealed three new DualSense and PS5 cover colours, which are part of its new 'Deep Earth Collection' series. The three chromatic colours include Volcanic Red, Cobalt Blue, and Sterling Silver. You can pre-order both the controllers and the plates from the 4th October, but the release dates are slightly staggered.

Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection will include the Genesis games Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park: Rampage Edition in addition to its previously announced titles, publisher Limited Run Games announced.

Although there's a very popular Spider-Man 2 PS5 out there right now if you're lucky enough to find them in stock, PlayStation has taken a slightly different tact when it comes to different designs and colors of its latest console. The PS5's white cover can be removed and replaced with a different design or color. There are a few varieties available, including the Spidey ones that come with the limited edition console, and now three more options have been revealed.

Today’s Nintendo Direct featured a surprise announcement in the form of a collection of the first three Tomb Raider games titled Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft. Although this title is a bit of a mouthful, it suggests exactly what you’d think it does. The collection spruces up the original games with new HD visuals, although not to the degree where it strays too far from what those titles aimed to achieve. Developed and published by Aspyr, the collection will drop on both consoles and Steam come February 14 of next year.

In celebration of Disney’s 100th anniversary, the House of Mouse has announced the forthcoming release of the, which consists of 100 titles from both Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar. The limited edition Blu-ray collection will be available for pre-order starting on September 18, only on Walmart.com. This will then be followed by its official launch on November 14.
